I'm not a nolife player, but i play during some hours of the day. Unfortunately, during those hours i have the uncredible luck to wait everyday a 1 hour (when everithing goes right) of downtime for the reboot of the crapy servers.

And now i have the pleasure to wait 24 hours for a patch, then 3 more hours for fixing the bugs of the bugs of this patch.

This game is not free and really expensive if you compare with others like WoW or LOTRO and this expense is for a game who look like a beta test !

Oh my dear god you are whiny! Shocked Y'all came here from WoW or something? Grow a set and shut up. Geez, you're giving me a headache. It's not like the world is going to end because you miss a few hours of (lol) internet spaceships. Go out, have a drink, chill with your friends IRL (omg! there's an IRL???) or take a walk.

You teenage whiners make either laugh or cry, can't decide.

i agree.
its a fairly nice day on my side. ppl just relax go out and have some fun. go see friends who u probably forgot about for being online so much.
CCP are doing their job and they have accomplished alot more then any other game i play all this years.

Dear players, today's Downtime will be extended further due to deployment taking a bit longer than originally announced. We expect to have Tranquility up and open for business at about 15.00 GMT.

Translation: We really don't care about your *Insert Favourite ***** Word* on our forums. In an hour, we might hit the power button to the server and let you play. Until then, shut the **** up

Sincerely,

CCP

stop whining, its a hotfix, its untested, if everyone jumps on the server now and something is wrong then there will be further complaints, they'd rather have some people whining about it being an extra hour DT than have everyone whining because there clients are crashing or something

EDIT: Agreed craig

also i had only one problem before the patch and that is the tut wouldn't tell me a place to go (deadspace complex... 5 min into the game where the hell is this, how do i move) i ended up having a friend teach me.

also i had no problems after the patch

Really.. when do these ******s EVER bring a server back when they say they will? It's gonna be another hour, and then 15 min promises at a time for 1.5 hours. You must be new here. lol

They need to fire the guy who predicts their downtime lol. 14 hours = 24 hours, 3 hours = 4.5 hours. It will all be good though if the turn the API back on.

This.

The handy little square, that showed up around the center of your ship when pressing Alt is gone as well. Makes narrowing down targets with the scanner more difficult, especially if you're cloaked.

Exactly, you're not in R-I-P because you're too much of an idiot who is employed by an NPC corp. Stop complaining like a little ***** and watch a movie or something.

i appreciate how this was posted AFTER god knows how many people where asleep / heading to bed (including myself) expecting to log on in the morning able to change their skills that would be completed in the morning (such as my own skill). perhaps more than 8hrs notice is a better idea when telling people the server is going down for a prolonged period of time. now what am i going to do about the lost training time?

ie. im personally losing between 11-13hours of training due to this DT. 15:00 game time = im @ work and unable to change skills until i get home so where some people might lose a couple hours im losing half a day of training. not cool..

You know ...

I would be worried more if they were reading this forum instead of fixing the problems they have atm.

I am happy they dont read this forum.

Please fix 9.999 bugs but keep the servers online.

Some people have no clue tbh and they make the biggest whines. The best posters of issues are those that are succinct, identifying what the issue is and how it manifests / how to reproduce.

Adding a whine is unnecessary, there are humans the other side reading. Treat them like so and less like your slaves.

If QA controlled when software was ready for release, there would be NO SOFTWARE released.

Software is ALWAYS released with bugs, bug free software doesn't exist. QA Can't be on top of every issue, they are shown changes, they test changes.

When new things happen as part of those changes, they are more than likely flagged during QA, but released with the expectation its not a show stopper and will be released 'real soon'.

The windows moving all over the place is old and needs fixing. Clearly, its not a priority but I can't believe CCP people don't frown everytime it happens to them.

Loss of bookmarks and settings is easily fixed. Just move your cache folder before upgrades.

As for other issues, I believe there are work arounds for those also.

I too would like CCP to spend the next 6months on stability issues only and no changes to anything, but I'm just a customer and not their product manager who has a damned better vision of the game than we do.

So, yes, do report issues and do feel free to type pages of whiny qq'ing. But do us all a favor and delete that part before you post.

Wink

I'm disapointed too,I can't play, like us all, I pay to play in a cyber the day of the extended DT, such a bad luck day.

Keep up the good work and fix it quickly pls ;)

CCP recommends you choose a LONG skill to train prior to the downtime. It is not their fault you choose one that should end JUST as the servers should be starting up.

He's an idiot because he's basically making the devs look like they do this intentionally. Most people have such a narrow mind that they don't realise how much it takes to maintain such a large game and supercomputer.

Loosing a few hours of training time is not that much of a problem , neither is waiting a few days til they sort out the problems.I am sure its very difficult for them and they're working very hard to solve everything. But there is one player I know that suffered from this more than anyone. He had enough fuel in his pos where he kept his mothership to last over the boost patch downtime. But since the downtime turned out to be longer the pos ran out of fuel and the owner couldnt wait anymore for the server to come back and refuel the pos cause he had to go to work. When he came back and the server was up his pos was offline and his mothership stolen/gone. Now thats a 35bil ship including mods, about 2000$ in real life I assume. Now that's a big problem and I hope CCP will give him his ship back, if not they might as well be responsible for the theft as the people who actually stole it.

Hmm i chose a skill that ends training at 1600cet (1500 gmt) ..I almost start praying to the amarian gods the downtime ends before then (and I am gallente can you imagine ?)

But dont curse on the devs they cant help unforseen issues that arise on a full server (hard to ask 30k friends on to test before release Laughing

But maybe a training que would help with theis issue lets say you can put in 3 skills t train and if one is trained the other starts ..Time = isk in this harsh universe

ow btw anyone know why i can only see an ! where my picture is supposed to go on the forum ? I want to show off my handsome image Razz
