Also getting drastically reduced framerates post patch.

Classic client.
Athlon 2400xp on xp pro32sp2 1.5gb mem.
geforce 5600 256mb card latest driver.

Used to get 30's in space, now 10's..and unplayable at POS's..


NB - have reinstalled the Classic Client and its had no positive effect.
Also: Installed on fresh install of Vista Ultimate with same results.

CONFIRMED:

For the drastic fps crash when multi-clienting i reported on the end of the last page, reinstalling eve with the new premium client installer solves my problems.

Hope all of you with serious fps issues post-patch have tried this. I know the problem I've had twice now with Trinity patches doesn't solve itself otherwise.

Didn't help me at all.


Reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling Eve didn't make one bit of a difference. I noticed that in the Oueletta system, my fps went back to 42-50 fps for some strange reason (just like pre-patch in EVERY system). Jump one system over to Jufvitte, it's back to under 10 fps. Makes no sense whatsoever.

CCP: Advertising the wingman program at this point is a bit silly don't you think?

/signed Any new user that hits any of the bugs and problems that are currently being experienced will be put off for life IMO. Even diehards are thinking twice atm. The 4-6 fps that I'm getting atm can not be described as fun and I wouldn't want to inflict this on an unsuspecting new player. Like it's not difficult enough!

CCP - Please fix this or roll back until you can.

Well i have FPS drops in certain systems when looking at areas of High lag like outside stations even though im 50+au away it occurs when fighters are deployed from carriers.dont know if its related but all i can think of is its database calls to and from my client telling which areas of space are populated with stuff..dont know the techy geek code for the explanation.anyway system specs are pretty dire.
P 4 dual Core 3.2Ghz O/c to 4.0 Ghz Geforce 6 Overclocked card (self done) 533mhz 512mb heatsink is bigger than the one on my cpu :P
Memory is 2.1gb also o/c
p.s. ive tried running with Factory presets and a lil Geforce 5600 card it doesnt make a difference in these situations.

A GM has answered t my request this morning. CCP is aware of the problem but don't know where the bug is and is not interested to rollback the patch for fixing it

Stepping back would be a bad solution. I'm sure they're gonna sniff out the bug and fix it as soon as they find it. Stuff takes time you know

when they can't find the bug they have to rollbac ist, it#s a normal doing. Like the category cargo thing that was added a while ago and removed again because it was not wirking.

And when the bug is resolved the can integrate the patch again, but not use the whole eve community as beta testers. i'm not paying for this

Add me to the growing list of customers with FPS issues. Didn't even know my frame rate before the patch because it never bothered me. Now I get 12-15 fpa in station and 4.5 - 5.5 fps in space. DX diag and bug report being submitted as we speak. Living and working in Khanid region.

It's not just his account, my subscription is already cancelled. Since I paid for one month the day before the patch, it really ticked me off. I'll be logging in to train skills, but that's about all I can do. I've watched 3 agent offers expire since this hit, and my faction steadily decrease, and am able to do nothing about it, so what's the ****ing point of playing this game? One day it's fine, the next day it's not, and it's not getting better. I'm already investing time in another mmo, and having fun...not looking back, even though I loved Eve, once upon a week ago. But, things change, and CCP's attitude towards this basically is just not worth my time or effort. Despite the hundreds of posts, they continue to do nothing except advertise wingman programs, and the first thing they fix is rookie missions for trial accounts. Screw the better business bureau, I'll be posting on various mmo websites about the whole ordeal for a long long time, not to mention talking to other people in other mmos. Besides, it's only a matter of time before someone comes out with a similiar game. I can wait.

It is just not one account! It is a CAPITAL account! CCP should get into the video card and computer component industry. Make computers that can run the type of game they make.

Hmmm.. been a week and still no change?... Logged in just now and thought it might be ok since I was getting 40+ fps inside teh stations, undock and bang down to 7 fps again.

Im wondering if somehow the engine isnt ignoring the rendering of stations planets and ships outside of the players maximum visual range... might account for why some systems are fine and others aint (although given some people mention normaly decent population systems are fine for them might blow that idea out of the water). So basicly your cards rendering every damn ship within the system in your line of site regardless of its distance from the player. Then again i know nothing...

Account runs out in 2 weeks... dont think im gonna continue if all I can do is sit in a station and train. Thankfully theres a chance I might make it into the WAR Beta soon.

Still utterly crap FPS. No point undocking or trying to pvp when you get 13 FPS outside of an empty station.

Right to the top. Any acknowledgement of this huge issue? I started playing Eve on a laptop which now gets 5 fps, if I started now I wouldnt be carrying on. Maybe rethink the Wingman promotion until this is sorted?

On my main computer I am getting 12 FPs in space which shoots up to 35 as soon as I open the star map. Dual accounting is almost impossible.
