Is no one willing to solve this problem????

I don't know, but this thread has managed to steadily grow, while the lack of information regarding what CCP is doing about it amounts to zero. If this were a free to play game, I'd expect this. However this is not a free to play game, and CCP or one of its representatives should show a bit of consideration to its paying customers regarding this and all of the other issues that have arisen from patch deployment. I'm not asking for an ETA (although it would be nice to know, subjectively speaking), but just a simple acknowledgement of the issue at hand, and confimation that it will or will not be addressed in the near future. Show us a little consideration please.

Just my own update - I played tonight, and it seems very much better for me. I haven't made any changes to my settings, cleared no cache, etc., and yet, it seems better.

Back-end database issues, perhaps? Maybe everybody was dl'ing the patch from the same cluster as the gameplay was occurring on?

I don't know, but while I wouldn't say it's fixed for everybody, it seems significantly better for me.

Anyone else notice an improvement?

Well, something has changed somewhere - am getting about 12fps, nearly double from this morning (kinda low, but still better than it was). Noticed a 500k bulk file come in from first login after dt, wonder if a hotfix was deployed today... But at least it is better Surprised

No improvement for me either. Is everyone sending Dxdiag and logfiles in with their bug reports?

Submitted bug report. But why the hell isn't it possible to attach more than one file? I am asked for log file and dxdiag file? no problem. But can't submit both with one bug report? bah.. fix that plz

Peculiar, how the majority of posters fail to mention whether they run Premium or Classic content. I get 12-15 fps with Classic (about 25 before the patch), but 25-30 with Premium (15-20 pre-patch). Windowed vs. full-screen client also might make a difference.

True. I run the classic client and have about the same fps as you (25-30 prepatch, 9-12 postpatch) running the classic client in Full-screen.
I might try it windowed, but is windowed mode generally more or less fps?

Some suggestions:

- It seems a lot of the peeps with problems have a Geforce 5 FX series (I do)

- almost all players are running the classic client?

- upgrading to latest graphics drivers didn't help for me

- changing from window mode to fullscreen mode didn't help for me

- most important thing for me here: It doesn't occur in all systems. Some systems I have still the old, way better fps of around 30, and as I jump into next system drop down to 10.

I'm running Classic client and getting 9 to 15 fps in space when i used to get 25 - 30fps before patch. In station i've seen a drop of 40 fps to 20.

All Gfx settings are set low with all effects turned off.

No, the geforce series is not guilty in this, i'm running ATI Radeon x1300pro and i get the same problem (not as heavy as for some of you, but stil noticeable).

And amongst of my friends, who also get this problem not everyone's running geForces, and none of those who does - 5xxx series. Strange, m?

Besides, yes, it looks like fps depends on a system, dunno why...

Same problem here, the patch brought a noticeable performance change for the worse. "Unplayable" is the ugly word, where it was playable before.

I'm also on this band wagon of 8 fps in space Confused

On to the bug reporting I suppose...

Two GeForce 8800GTX's in SLI here. Getting 60+fps outside (VERY low compared to normal), EXCEPT for when I turn my camera in a certain direction, at which point the game lags for a split second and FPS drops to ~20-30. During certain missions with gas clouds it has dropped to the 10-15fps range depending on camera direction. Absolutely horrible for my config.

I'm suffering this problem on my other PC at the moment... 20fps or so down to a flat 8fps in my home system (it's like the fps meter has a limiter on it.. just a flat line across the screen).

Originally after a bit of exploring in higher sec systems, I thought that it might be something to do with the new can timer, but I found I had the same issue in some 0.8 systems, so that ruled cans out.
I did a bit more testing and found that it was generally better in systems above 0.8 sec status.

under 0.8 sec, it seems the larger the number of asteroid belts, the fewer fps I get.
So, that got me wondering if there was any correlation between the presence and quantity of belt rats in a particular system... yes, I'm clutching at straws, lol

/me goes and hangs out in lovely smooth running New Caldari...Shocked

I aswell am haveing the same issue I am in 0.0 in a constilation of 4 or 5 systems where there is no population and I am also getting anywhere from 5 to 8 F.P.S. and I am running

Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 256mb
Pentium 4 2.66Ghz processor
512 ram ( upgradeing to 2 gig next week )
Classic Client
Also I have the latest Nvidia driver 6.14.11.6921 dated 12/05/07
I have not filed a bug report cause I see alot of you have so am not going to waste C.C.P.'s time to look at another one. I am sure the issue will be resolved but till then I can't play and will let my sub end and train a 45 day skill till it is fixed. And then I will be more than happy to come back. No you can't have my stuffLaughingLaughing

I sent in a DxDiag and a logserver file as a bugreport.

No change here on my end. Still classic client, 1152x864 windowed, sound turned off, ATI all in wonder 9800, 2 gigs ram, AMD 3700+.

Still running 1 client at a wonderfull 10 - 12 fps. Some systems( as in few ) see a whopping 24fps. Most are 10 - 12 or 14-16 fps.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, when you jump into another system and the overview hasn't loaded up yet, your fps goes through the roof. I'm talking 80 to 120fps. But when the overview loads, its back down to the lower FPS.

If there was a way we could turn off the overview, I'd be willing to bet we would see a massive fps increase.

Still having the problem. Some systems are slightly better (Nonni and Nannaras i believe), raising the fps from 8 to 20 or sometimes even 30 on classical client. I think that the difference between systems should be a good hint for the devs to work on, but then again i might just swapped thinking for hoping :)
Please do work on it though, even moving is very dangerous now and as i live in 0.0 full time, i can't play now.
