Currently i find it a pain in the ass that its not possible to contract any tech II Cristals while just fitted or used.
About every ship i have uses tech II cristals and for every ship i need to get there my self and either remove them by hand or trade the ship.

ill try to put this gentle.. IT SUCKS ASS!.

Please ccp fix this. no other races has this problem as there ammo just reduces in size. Our gets damadged..

I am not sure if there is a way to measure damage, so as to get a percentile of life remaining. That would be a prerequisite to be able to sell them. (i.e. a crystal with 25% damage would be valued at 75% current market value.)

Also, not being able to measure the life remaining in a crystal can be very dangerous in a tactical situation, as anyone who has had a crystal burn out in the middle of a battle. You know how many missiles you've got left, why not remaining life of crystals??!?

When I go to repair shop and click on my ship all modules, drones, etc., are listed as repair items, but crystals are not.

This would be the first place to start, there would have to be a way to measure that damage without being able to repair them. For that matter, just make them reparable and solve the problem!

Once they start to degrade, they become more like ammo than like standard crystals that last forever. Just another poke in the eye for Amarr.

well carry a couple of sets - it is not as if they take up much room ...
and via contracts it means nothing with value

The only ones that don't get damage are the T1...

And worse, once you fit them once, they seem to be as damage and it won't work, but I see no way, not even talking about contracts, to see the crystals damage.
I take few spares, but I'm always worried about the bad luck of breaking a full set at the same time... Thought I didn't break much lens since I started using them.

What is crap is you can't contract a laserboat as easyly as you do with any other kind of ships! Or it's without ammo and if it's to lend for a friend, you can give brand new crystals, but not have them back in contract!

We... Need something, if damaged items could be traded, it would fix it, just add a column with damage in the contracts if the item is not packaged.

T1's do take damage but the amount of damage is very very very low. its says its .0000025 or so.

Dont post if you dont have a clue of what you are talking about.
T2/Faction crystals take damage, T1 dont.

I've had to just trash ships before now for having damaged T2/faction crystals in the cargo in stations I cannot access.

Granted there is a courier contract work around but if you're trying to contract a BC or above it's impossible.

So yea, this "feature" has lost me a few CS/BS in my time :)
