As part of our broadcast of the Fifth Alliance Tournament, we want to bring you interviews with the people who create EVE.

These interviews will be conducted next week (week beginning 18th Feb).

We've got a load of questions lined up for them, but it's probably a good idea to see what you guys want to ask them as well.

Post your question(s) below, whether they be general, or aimed at a specific person. We don't know who we're going to get exactly, but it'll be interesting either way.

Minmatar fleet snipers are in dire straights now that the ammarians got their much cried for boost. Will we be getting something similar so we can at least be competitive with the other races at 150km.

Target painters as a racial Ewar are a joke, frankly. Any chance of swaping it to web range in lue of the recons and EAS?

Typhoon and broadsword armor/HP values. Could these be swaped?

High damage T2 ammo is now almostly completely useless due to the profileration of faction ammo from the LP stores. Any plans here?

How's work comming on with Ambulation and the new server supercomputer talked about at fanfest?

Any map shaping being planed for the next big patch to route traffic around jita?

Some of the skill requirements for capital ships seem plain unnecessary given the plethora of support skills you need to fly them effectivly. Any plans to neuter them down slightly? (ASC5 and JDO5 comes to mind)

With the Amarr Boost you have now created an "arms race" in eve, was this intentional? Will it continue? - and how do you plan to manage it?

Module size increases - ohgodwhy?!

Deimos slot changes - ohgodwhy?!

Apoc OTT boost - ohgodwhy?!

Double damp nerf + no corresponding ship boost - ohgodwhy?!

Resist changes - lulzwhut?

Eagle OTT boost - seriously, why?

Muninn - now useless.

Scripts - again. seriously. why?

Carrier "cargo in ships" nerf is backward. Combined with the capital module size increase it is seriously limiting the combat usefulness of carriers in a non-frontline role.

What are your plans to bring speed more into line? How would you feel about more strict inter-class speed levels (i.e., cruiser with mwd is still slower than frigate without) and adding actual penalties (i.e. tracking, shield capacity) to the mwd module.

When is the change to make cloaked ships probable being added? It was implemented well over a year ago on sisi, then removed, with the promise to be re-added as soon as it was fixed.

Will there be a new dedicated API developer? Failing that, will there be at least a role added to allow non-directors to view kills/losses?

you guys never seem to stop amazing me.... for almost a year now the lag on tranquility has been horrible and every single fleet engagement end up as a bad experience even for the victor.

now they are having interviews where u can ask specific question too the creators of eve and you go blasting away with "boost my ship" crap?

here is a question: "WHEN will the server get a upgrade that will keep eve-online functioning?"

"WHY do you focus on developing new additions of gameplay and/or graphics that adds more stress too the database when the primary effect it will have is making your biggest problem even bigger?"

"IF large scale 0.0 fleet warfare is not supported by the game shouldnt you modify the game mechanics to endorse small/medium fights instead?

"do you picture eve-online the same way i am? close your eyes for a second and look at it from this view, if you have 300 racecars blasting down a 10 lane highway in a pack and suddenly the highway goes from 10 lane to a 1 lane 50 meters before a 90 degree turn.. what happens? probably wont show any logs.. but its called LAG"

Any chance for fleet and field ore command ships? By this I mean, something akin to a hulk/mackinaw, but with a couple extra (non-turret) high slots for command links. Maybe with innate bonuses to mining command links, and reduced fitting requirements for them.

Should I even ask.. faction warfare? When, where, how.. the usual suspects.

1. What are the numbers of ship reimbursed for PvP and PvE related reasons?

2. What is the ratio of PvP experiance in those GM's that deal with ship reimbursement?

3. If there is a higher probability that a PvE petition will result in a reimbursement (refer Q1) and there is higher percentage of GM's who only PvE in tehir gametime do you think there is a correlation between the two?

Taking a quote from the petition page:

# Please do not file a petition to report lag. We have plenty of tools to monitor the server and are aware of when it is lagging. For further information on what we are doing to address the current lag problems click here

would you be willing to publish statistics over a period of time like the year 2007 on how you see as lag affecting your players ? The perception of those involved in large (50+ participants) scale combat is that it is becoming more and more of a game of chance where the outcome is decided not by skills or even numbers but by who gets to control their ships first if at all.

Also, the link given as an alternative to those who want to petition on lag goes to a blank page stating 'No news available for this section'. Is this an error in the website or an accurate description of CCP's progress in reducing lag ?

Considering that with any other game:

1, The userbase would have left after 30 seconds of waiting to shoot someone

2, That the 5 minutes module activation lag has been dwarfed by constellation lock up lasting several hours rendering the game unplayable to those affected whether involved in the conflict or not

3, That the changes that have been and are being implemented are of the scale that breaks the normal gamers faith

Are CCP grateful for having the most patient userbase in gaming history who willingly endure these appalling lapses in standards for those few brief moments of gaming greatness?

Do CCP understand that questions from their userbase are at the very least understandable and therefore acceptable?

With the effect of the drone regions on mineral prices, is there any plans to address the obvious problems with t1 ship insurance. For tier2 BS insurance pays out 20 mill more than the ship costs to buy, thus reducing the effective cost to less than 10 mill, rather than the 30+ that would be expected.

Further to that, given how much more ISK is available in the game (due to various boasts over the years), is there any plans to change how insurance works at least in 0.0, and address general game inflation. To make the game environment back to the type that losing ships actually matters, rather than the WOW philosophy of no cost to PVP.. (and no t2 doesnt really address this, as the vast majority of major 0.0 PVP is still BS/BC)

I know this may seem unimportant to a lot of people but I only REALLY want to know about two areas:

1. Are there plans to enhance/modify the market interface and functionality (e.g. adding faction items to the market screen, streamlining options for modifying orders, creating contracts, etc - there's been loads of ideas in the market forums).

2. Now Garthagk has left, are there any API improvements in the works, e.g. a contracts API service, etc.


3. Are we ever going to get proper support for the shares in eve corporations (i.e. share transfer tracking, the ability to create secure transactions involving shares, lots of other cool stuff...)

If you don't want large alliance combatants blobing single systems because the servers/code cannot handle it, why have you not made sovereignty dependant upon meeting specific objectives ACROSS MULTIPLE SYSTEMS SIMULTANEOUSLY.
