EVE RADIO

There are many sources of entertainment and news available to citizens, production units, slaves and neo-citizens across the universe, but few media forms have crossed the cultural barriers between the races as successfully as EVE Radio.

This success in part reflects the multicultural make up of the station. Caldari business organisation methods mixed with the Gallente technical expertise and the raw unrefined energy of the Minmatar. Only the Amarrians have little or no stake within company, which in part may explain the stations relatively low listener figures within the Armar Empire. In fact EVE Radio is still banned within some of the more traditional systems within the empire.

The station was the brainchild of a mysterious individual known only as Diaego. Indeed he appears to be so enigmatic that the many media watchers through out the galaxy have been unable to determine even his race. Many different Conspiracy theories exist which claim he is everything from a renegade member of the Armarrian Special Forces to an exiled Jovian prince.

What ever the truth about Diaego’s origins there is no doubting his uncanny commercial brilliance, immediately signing valuable advertising contracts with major corporation especially Quafe. Indeed the station is so popular that some of the most feared pirates in the universe have been known hire advertising slots so they can publicise their nefarious exploits.

The second pillar of the stations success has been a remarkable ability to spot talented individuals from the most improbable of backgrounds. Take the example of one of the earliest DJ’s to be recruited, a former Minmater slave called Doby. It would appear that EVE radio purchased Doby from the huge corporate agricultural compound where he had lived his entire life. Doby apparently had a well deserverd reputation for stupidity and incompetence. Despite this, he has become one of the most popular DJ’s on EVE radio with a fan club numbering in the millions. However the time he spent in slavery seems to have damaged him mentally as he appears to have gained an unhealthy fascination with latex products.

With their strong corporate management, their team of young and talented DJ and the legions of fanatical fans, the future of EVE radio looks very bright indeed.

Yum, a player-made POTW.

I'm going to let this stay on the summit for a while, after which I will have to move it to its rightful place; the Eve Library.

Nicely written, though, might I suggest a [.center] tag for the image?

Thanks Orestes

"Back in the day" there used to be lots of player written POTW's.

I hope this might inspire some people to write some more.

You know, all it would take would be Orestes posting something about "CCP awards player x something nifty for a player-written POTW". After that, you would never be able to tunnel out of the pile of player-written POTWs you'd receive.Very Happy

Well, yeah, you could beat them into a pulp, but that way they wouldn't be able to write anything anymore Sad.

And, shintoko, I want [i]good[/b] PoTW's, not mass-produced tripe just because I said "CCP gave writer X a cookie!" Smile

(I'll happily give out cookies for good stories, btw, no problem with that whatsoever)

A PoTW is a peek of the week. That's what the Eve Chronicles used to be called.

Oh, and moving this to the library
