I'm putting this post in the modules forum because I can't think of a better place to put it. If you have a suggestion with regards to where this should go - I'm all ears. With that said:
I couldn't help noticing that when I bring back modules from a mission and refine them, the listed yield quantities don't match up to what is posted on the eve Item Database. I am taking into consideration taxes ( which are zero for me ) and refinery efficiency. The sum total of the listed numbers are usually slightly off for me. It seems to be the case with all items I've tried that one of the minerals yielded will be off by about 10 units and the rest will be spot on.
I.e. for me a given module would yield 1000 tritanium, 0 taxes and 100 unrecoverable ( hypothetical example ). From this I would deduce that the module contains a total of 1100 tritanium which would be available to me with perfect refining sills. I would check on Eve Item DB and the listed value would be 1110.
If you are interested in checking this try 100mm Steel plates, SAR I as these are the items I can remember seeing this on off the top of my head. When I get back from work I will try to provide a concrete example. ( Yeah, I'm on break right now so don't kill me )
Is there a mistake in the EVE db? Is my assumption that 'the sum total listed of refined minerals listed for a given module ingame corresponds to the values listed online' wrong?
Can you shed some light on this?
