All the different projectile turrets have different damage modifiers depending on the bore size and tech/name. How do these work and how do you equate the modifier to say the max damage a certain ammo type can do?

Each type of ammo has certain damage values associated. Those values get multiplied by a multitude of multipliers to come up with the 'base' damage the turret will do when it hits. The damage multiplier on the gun is one of them. Ohters include ship bonuses, skills, other modules, etc.

The actual damgae your gun will do per hit is random, but base damage x multipliers is the starting point.

All turrets use the damage mod system.

its:

damage mod*ammo damage

The ammo damage is the sum of the 'type' damage for the round.

e.g.
Republic fleet EMP M = 25.3 damage.
220mm AC I, base damage mod = 2.31
Theoretical damage for a single round = 58.443

Yes I know there are loads of modifiers! I was just soley looking at the turret modifier at the moment! So I just times the Ammo base damage by the modifier on the turret data sheet I guess!
