And i decided i will come up with the aeon tankage of the century, well at first i tried solo but i realised i could try something different...

So heres the scenerio, you and three other aeon pilots must live through a fleet battle, they wont nos you(above normal that is)and help will arrive in 10 minutes, live no matter the cost....I came up with this.

Linkage

So this setup is capable of tanking 120k of focused fire indef...Amazing aint it?Very Happy

Oh and also,it reps 15k armor a rep every 2.5 secondsSurprised

Oh and btw, this is that lone wolf triage aeon setup...

What about the 99% of the other times you're not with 3 other Aeon pilots? That setup would make some gankers really happy.

Like i said, this is just a wow wtf tank thread, not a OMG NERF THIS thread.

And also,in this scenerio you would need about 100 neutron gankathrons to break their tank....Tbh three motherships in a battle isnt a totally never happens kind of event.

Your setup uses rigs. How do you put rigs on a ship that can't dock at a station?

edit
There's a lot of mothership setup threads around using rigs. Have they changed it recently?

.

The same way you put modules on a ship that can't dock. Smile There are ways of fitting a ship without dropping it into a station.

To the OP: what version of EFT are you using, in the one i use the Remote Reps aren't affected by the active Triage module (while yours obviously are by the look of it) (Using 2.4.1)

Last I heard anything you cant remote rep a ship in triage, once you enter triage with one ms... that ms dies if theres a fleet around =)

Well,now this sucks.

As for the remote repping thing,it does change how much one reps as its used to give extreme repping capabilities.

just for the record i got a solo wyvern to tank over 70k dps the aeon is not the best tank. Yes it was EFT and i was board and it would not be a practical or economically viable fit.

so? Load up a scorpion. 1/10th of the price and you can tank 24k dps, and still be remote repped =D

Yes but the aeon has the ability to run all of the above indef,if you use chelms power relays you drop below the aeon in tankability.

Oh and about the scorp,as i see its not possible to make it tank 24k dps indef, even with estamels i max out at 10-12k with sustainability of 2 minutes.

Dual officer x-large SB. HIgh grade crystal. dual heavy cap injectors. officer Invulns. Sure it requires heavy cap injectors.... But it would be almost worth the cost in isk to see the sheer frustration in of 15-20 carriers trying to kill a single BS.

EDIT: I just checked. I must have remembered those numbers wrong. it seems about 12k is the max.

im a bit confused as to what you are saying the setup i had runs permanently but i went back to check my numbers(as i did this several months ago)

Setup 1 tanks 69340 dps permanently with +558.6 cap and -442 cap
Setup 2 tanks 71882 dps permanently with +474.9 cap amd -442 cap <--*
Setup 3 tanks 78720 dps almost perma. with +434 cap and -442 cap

*setup i was talking about
i wish i could fit 3xCCC II and setup 3 would work (but it perma runs over 40min)
i am not saying any of these are practical or even the best fits im just saying the Wyvern has a better tank than the aeon.

I do not see how its possible without alot of power relays, once you use those then you get 48k tankable dps.

EDIT:i took off a invul and put on a cap recharger and got 42m tankable 62k dps...Still dont see how you get those numbers.

try fitting PDU's in the lows

i also just came up with a dual rep set up
78647 DPS tankable +872.9 -870.7

so its stable but i don't like this setup because the resist are lower and has less effective hp 3.8mill vs the other setups that had about 5.7mill. My favorite set up is actually setup 1, plenty of cap if you are being nuted and you can run remote reps

4x pdus plus cccII rigs(and one cccI)=11m lasting ability.

Use officer, not tech II PDU's

EDIT: I'm getting the same as you. 67547 peak DPS tanked, for 11 mins 11 seconds.

i dont know what setup you are commenting on but all of those number are directly from quick fit, and all of those setups also have a cap recharger.
i would live to link a pick like you did but i don't know how to do it.

well i actually don't know how to add gang link bonuses and do the booster links affect capital booster's?

anyway my fit for 78647 DPS is 4xPDU, 2xinvol,2xcap recharger,2xcap booster, 2xboostamp, triage mod, 2xCCCII,CCC I. all best officer fit and dont forget the 2 5% cap implants.
