I don't understand what the patch was supposed to fix because most of the issues I saw reported and reported myself are still there.

1. Items/CargoHold/Container/Vault - Still not showing items until you click on scroll bar.

2. Graphical anomalies in space and fitting screen - WORSE since the patch (go figure)

3. Targetted Items - STILL justified to left of screen and still no way to drag them away from there, so STILL can't see jack info on the rats because they are obscured with the System Info overlay.

4. In journal screen when you go to info about a mission graphics are corrupted.

5. Items/Portraits and Rats still not rendering (lots of big old !'s everywhere)

Granted, I haven't had a random crash yet, but there is plenty of time for that, I have only done 2 missions since the patch deployed.

So what exactly was the latest patch supposed to fix?

1) Is a bug in Windows too, not a TG issue, we are working on it.
2) Further details please.

3) - We think we know what is happening here, the 'Position' of the targeted items 'defaults' to next to your selected items. If you have this minimised then the icons appear far to the left. The fix is to have the 'Selected item window in it's normal position. target something, move the Selected item window, reposition your targeting locator (looks like a targeting circle but small, and should be above and to the right of the first targeted object) to the position you want. Minimise the Selected items window.

4) This is a png issue and it is being worked on.
5) Tied to 4 and is just graphical, being worked on but not 'UBER' priority. Fixing crash issues is higher on th elist right now.

6) ???
7) Profit!

(always wanted to do that Laughing)

1) hardly a showstopper
3) nfc
4) has been like that since forever with WINE users, interesting to see TG is now the same.
2) and 5) are probably a result of 4, and the chances are that it's an EVE bug that wine is showing and some windows graphics drivers cover up as some ATI windows users report similar issues.

But seriously, the client is still not stable for us Linux users. It should not crash at all, and that has to be the #1 priority.

And...I'm ...not seeing those issues....with the exception of the cargo bug, but only if its more than the initial window can show "all" of.

The rest...no gfx anamolies. (you ARE using 24bit with 8bit alpha, right????)
targeted items has never been an issue for me since release of the linux client.

Journal screen= no issues. (see screenshot.)
Items and portraits....rendering just fine. again see screenshot. corp channel were clicked on just prior to the capture.

Screen capture in station of above issues.

In my case, the client crashes are clearly related to portrait rendering (bug reported, error.log attached)
at this point in time, i simply cannot participate in any combat whatsoever as the client will crash as soon as portraits are rendered.

As to whether i need to render portraits? YES, i need to know if i'm fighting a lonely guy in the system or if it's scout for a 25+ members outbreak gang

so would be grateful if portraits were really worked on as they relate to crash issues (at least on my system)

also, having big ! instead of ship portraits really distracts from eve. reminds me of these half-assed demos people used to release .... shoddy impression

OK this works but will it persist between battles? And it is not just if you have selected items minimised, I didn't have it minimised I just had it as a tab in my overview window as opposed to being on top of the overview.

Thanks

Yeah, right now it seems like bringing up portraits is the main thing that causes crashes. If I left click on someone in chat to get the little thumbnail and then open info on them it only crashes occasionally. If I try to bring up info on a player while they still have the default icon in chat or just from an autolink it crashes at least 50% of the time. I'll get a bug report in on this as soon as I have time to do it.
