Hi,
I did a new install on a new install of gusty.
I have the latest nvidia drivers as per the synaptic packages (I might have the wrong one, point me to the best ones for a 6600GT if you can).

I start eve and it comes up with a blank text place with "scroll to bottom to continue" at the bottom of the window. There's no text, and I can't scroll.

So I hit esc, and after about 15 seconds I can quit the game.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

All help appreciated.

You using wine or the Cedega wrapped client?

If you are using wine:

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/corefonts/arial32.exe?modtime=1029369600&big_mirror=0
Run the file in wine (wine arial32.exe) and it should install all which are required.

If you are using the cedega wrapped client, then the fonts should be there automatically.

when you go into your scroll down unbuntu games column menu, you will see a Eve online configutation utility. You need to run this first. autodetect your card and go through the test routine. once this is completed apply it and the client should work for you.

I also run the latest unbuntu 7.10 release and had your exact same issue untill i ran the config utility.
