I petitioned this and the response was that it is a known bug.

If you needed Electronics 5 it would be a requirement. Electronics 5 isnt currently a requirement. I do however have Electronics 5 as have most people and yes i cant train this skill.

I think the skill he is talking about is the skill Nanite Operation, not Nanite Engineering.
I cannot train it too, since it tells me Mechanic skill is required as a pre-skill.

What happens if you have Science, Mechanics, Electronics, and Engineering all at 5?

I'd test it, but I trained it for skill count a long time ago, so I can't try it.

EDIT: Forgot a skill.

Not sure how you trained this a while ago as the skill just came with Trinity. This is Nanite Operation and *not* Nanite Engineering. If I remember correctly, this allows you to use nanite componds to repair modules in space which have been damaged by heat.

The skill in question was kinda unclear, so I assumed it was the engineering.

EDIT: As per the OP.

It's a known bug,
it is fixed on sisi so next patch you will be able to train it.

It reduces the amount of nanite paste when reparing things in space after heat damage [for example]
