If you are pirate material, you should be able to figure out such things yourself. PS. I don't like pirates. DS. |

Good skills to start out with as a pirate depends on what you're doing. For the most basic type of pirates (indyhunters) you'll need the following skills:
Electronics III Propulsion jamming I Caldari frigate II/III Missiles III/V Heavy missiles I / Cruise missiles lvl I And an mwd is also a VERY useful item: Navigation IV Afterburner IV High speed manuvering I
These are the best skills for a kestrel/griffin pirate. If you can use caldari cruisers the same skills would be needed, except that you could just train missiles IV and get torpedoes on a caracal.
Regarding the Missiles skill, I recommend lvl V as cruise missiles on a kestrel deals way more damage than heavy missiles, but the heavy missiles are well capable of destroying an indy. |

Getting good sensor skills will also help alot, signiture analysis (for fast targeting) is a crucial skill for pirates.

High priority skill groups: Gunnery (more damage you do, the faster they die) Missile (cruise missiles are good)
Medium priority: Electronics (train skills that boost targetting time and ship CPU, and reduce cap for EW modules) Pilotting (the more different ships you can pilot, the more different tactics you can form) Engineering (train skills that boost cap/shields/armor/powergrid)
Low priority: Navigation (moving fast is helpful) Drones (heavy drones are good in large numbers)
These are the basic categories for an all out fighter. |
