Not likely. Out of box it will not run since ps3 isnt a pc. It has a processor named cell with 8 auxiliary processors and one main powerpc-core. So basically when you run linux on it , it is a slow mac with funny auxiliary processors eve wont be able to use. Also not sure about the graphics hardware.

Eve could probably be ported to run on ps3 but I doubt they will since not many people are playing eve on ps3+linux combinations hehehe

The other, major issue (I've no doubt that a PS3 can do some x86 emulation in software via the usual suspects quite quickly using... boch?) is that on the PS3 most of the neat stuff, such as the 3D system, is locked away from any other OS other than the PS3's internal one.

So... one day it might work... but it will crawl along. Shame really as I'd get a major kick out of seeing EVE on a PS3.

Won't work.

As said above it doesn't use x86 PC so wine won't work. EVE doesn't run on any non-x86 CPU's (both linux and mac clients are x86 only).

Also as said above, 3D acceleration isn't available to linux on PS3.
