I used the new client and the numpad worked. I tho also use Teamspeak in Ubuntu 7.10. There seems to be a problem when you try to speak in TS. You get the light activation but your are not transmitting any sound. You can test this when you make it voice activation.

I have tried the different drivers that Ubuntu 7.10 has but the sound does not transmit. Anyone have any ideas???

I generally start Teamspeak in a separate workspace from the game client and use push to talk. I have had no problems while using it this way. The setup I use is a Dell E1505 w/ Gutsy and KDE environment.

TeamSpeak's Linux client uses OSS and not ALSA for sound, so if anything else (say, Eve) is using the soundcard when you start it, it won't have any sound I/O. If you start TS first, you'll have no sound in Eve.

Using the alsa-oss wrapper might be a way around, but I haven't tried it.

alsa-oss wrapper works just fine over here. (tested.) Personally I normally run voice comms on a separate laptop off to one side of the main machine. No overlays needed, and quick at glance "who's talking".
