I've been able. But, unfortunately, there's no 44267 (which i've downloaded yesterday) to 44423 premium patch, and i don't have enough time to download it again today.
At least i can launch eve, see loginscreen - without any glitches. Using current git of wine, slightly modified:

changing the dlls/kernel32/sync.c BindIOCompletionCallback return value to TRUE fixes the freeze/crash when the login screen appears

Currently i have rubbish videoadapter (and whole new pc matches it) - gf5600fx ultra, so eagerly waiting for new notebook =]
Not sure if i'll be able to login using this (wooden) one...

I was actually wondering about the Official Eve Linux Client.

I've still been using wine up till this point as wine can let me multi client without issue. I had just assumed that because of the SM3 thats required for the premium graphics that the cedega client would be the only one up to snuff at least for a few weeks.

I tried to patch up using but it would only get so far as the db.dll section and then crash out.

However if wine will continue to work and all i'll need to do is a quick re-compile. That works for me =) Not having to re-install windows is always a plus.
