Hi people,

I'm trying to play EVE in linux (ubuntu 7.10) with my ati x800pro. It all works fine (something that surprises me after reading this forum), until i exit the station. This causes a CTD and i have to switch to windows to redock or travel from station to station.
Can somebody help me solving this problem? i'm a total linux noob.

Thanks in advance, rut.

I have the same issue on Ubuntu 7.10.

I managed to install the latest ATI drivers (Catalyst 7.11) and I'm now able to log into the game (with the free drivers, I only got the splash screen then nothing more).

Each time I try to get into space, the game crashes and I return to the desktop.

Hardware :
Athlon XP 2800+ M
ATI Radeon Mobility 9600

I used the Envy drivers (http://albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html) for ATI they work very well. Mine didn't work when I logged in at first, but then I unchecked those things and it does work but it still crashes sometimes but not normally.
