a bit of googling and I've found an app called evemonx on google code which claims to be a basic skills training monitor for mac, but I'm suspicious of it - having seen evemon and knowing that it uses the API key this app worries me that it wants a username and password...

I'm not suggesting anyone download it, I can't find comments either way to say if it's credible, does anyone know?

(Disclaimer:I'm not responsible if someone downloads this thing and it steals their account info, ISK and ships/items, srysly... which is why I've not provided a direct link, k?)

I wouldn't use it. There is a widget in development that works pretty good. It's in this thread.

I use the above widget myself, and it does a fine job. Although it obviously is not for skill planning, it's great for keeping track of when longer skills are going to end when I'm not actually playing...

EVEMonX predates the API I believe, so it wouldn't be API-key aware. Plus it's not made by the same group who made EVEMon.

The eve widget is good. There's a Cocoa skill monitor program as well, it's a good start.

Here is a link to the Cocoa app page. I have it installed and it looks very interesting. They don't have the skill planning feature yet but I'm keeping an eye on it.
And it uses the API key so it's not a UN PW stealer.

I used Cocao Monitor a few months ago and found it to be very buggy. Hopefully it has come on since then.

It would be amazing if the team behind Eve Mon did a Mac version though. I rely on Eve Mon to remember far too many training plans, and short of writing them down, I haven't found anything of that quality for Mac.

Hey. I use the mentioned wiged. But I would like not only a monitor program, but a planner program as EVEmon, anyone know any, have searched the internet with no luck so far.

I would suggest http://www.cornerspeed.com/kasey/esm/ as it is a widget and thus sandboxed.
