Curious to know how the performance is.

Yes. It works great. I'm running on a MacBook Pro with 4GB of RAM (recent model, so dual-core 2.4ghz) and it works great... no performance issues at all, good frame rate, and I usually run at 1920x1200 full screen.

I'm running on dual core 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM, 256MB ATI X1600.

At 1440x900, I get 35 - 40 fps in station. Average about 20fps otherwise. These bump by about 5fps if I run at 1280x800, but it doesn't look as great.

Seems stable, but I haven't played a huge amount.

I'm on a Mac Pro - 2x2.66 dual core Xeon, 4GB RAM and X1900. For me it seems to run fine even at 1900x1200, except for the freezing issue. Definitely worth a go.

Mac Pro 3ghz, 5GB RAM, X1900 512mb, OSX 10.4.11

For me the performance has been great, 40-50 fps in space and 80+ in station. Only time I had a real slow down was on a mission where it sent me to an area with a bunch of gas clouds, asteroids, and structures all bunched together, fps went down to 16-18.

As far as freezes go I don't get them that often but they do happen. It is usually fixed with a program restart or restarting the comp if it continues to freeze up. Luckily I haven't had them happen during any combat situation, most of mine come from the loading player picture freeze.

it's downright horrible compared to playing in winXP. i refuse to play it as it is now. i don't care if i have to restart into windows. i spend a lot of time playing eve and team fortress 2.

so, for me, it basically comes down to: do i want to play eve at 40-50fps with all the bugginess of a beta client, or do i want to play eve at 120fps and everything works?

I play on Mac Pro 2x3GHz, 4Gb Ram, Nvidia 7300 GT, Mac OS Leopard - client is woring fine. At 1600x1200 and get about 45FPS in space, and about 120FPS in stations(i do not load station environment) - so all in all it's a playable setup.

who cares what fps you get in the station? you're doing absolutely nothing. you're just looking at your ship with one or two animations going in the background (and yet it's still twice as slow as the windows client). wow, i get really awesome frame rates while i outfit my ship! too bad once i undock, the lag and freezing will get me blown up by some crazy russians in syndicate. fps in battle is what matters and it's just plain bad.

Mac Pro 2.66GHz ATI 1900XL and 4GB of RAM

Runs great when it doesn't lock up the machine. Some days, runs for hours, others, can't even get logged in before it kills the video/locks machine up/needs power switch to get it to come back.

Yep, MacBookPro (2Ghz Core Duo) with 1.5GB Ram and OSX 10.4.11
The frame rates are okay, nothing special, I run in 1440x900
However, it does tend to hang / crash regularly. Mean time between failures is about 1 hr, which is Unacceptable
