Hi guys,

Im a caldari pilot planning on maxing out a cruise cnr for mission whoring but still want to be 100% viable at all aspects of pvp.

Instead of cross-training gal/min i thought about exploiting the fact that the t2 amarian khanid ships use missiles as their primary weapon system, therefor minimising my training time overall.

I was thinking of concentrating on getting in a malediction, sacrilege, vengeance, curse ( i will be training drones as every race should imo) for all my t2 ship needs whilst relying on the rokh for fleet ops, a torp raven for t1 bs combat and a drake for gate combat.

Will this be a viable plan and what are your experiences of the khanid ships in pvp ? Are they as tough as they look?

Solid advice from me (cross-training from Caldari to Amarr):

Armor tanking skills.

Then worry about Khanid ships.

Also, all T2 ships require massive skill time inputs into making many (if not all) of them at lvl5 to let them shine. Have ship support skills at lvl5 as a minimum helps loads.

If your shield tanking skills are good, and are willing to skill for armor tanking skills, go right on ahead. Do not forget turret weaponry for the Amarr, since their BS line is no joke (discounting the lol-apoc) as well in the battlefield.

Also, once you've gotten your missiles and shield/armor tanking down, you've basically done two big facets for Mimmatar ships if you so incline.

The Malediction Mk2 was my favorite ship in the game for a while. There's a lot of ways to fit one, bottom line is that it's a good ceptor. The Vengence has a remarkably solid tank for a frigate, but is still stuck with Assault frigate problems.

I dont fly the sac, but it also is known to be a good HAC. Again there's a few different ways to go about fitting it, all have merits.

Caldari/Amarr it is then, i'll even train for lasers and enjoy their t1 lineup, i've always admired both races ships but my previous char was pure min with a little gal, i hate gal with a passion so i guess this is the way to go.

Cheers.

I guess i will also diversify into min at some point too since i loved their ships so much on my old char, so like you say kaz, the the cross tanking will help a lot.

Id say go for malediction and sacri.

-Malediction, youre already set here if you can fly caldari inties. No tanking needed and it uses missiles

-Sac, pretty much set here aswell. You can pick one of the great speed tank solo setups and you wont even need good armor tanking skills to make this baby do wonders.

-vengeance, its tough as hell, 4 missile slots, crappy damage though. needs some armor tanking skills if you wanna tank it.

-curse, got drone skills? Yeah then this works i guess.
