Hello!

Im running on debian lenny and I just installed eve-online with the gui installer. I get a black screen when I start eve :(.

My machine passes all tests but OSS in the eve config. The video card is an ati unfortunately. I have the fglrx drivers from ATI installed.

This is a HP compac nc8430, 1.5G ram. Anyone already saw this problem?

Are you running 64-bit Linux or 32-bit Linux? I had this same problem, and it was solved by installing the 32-bit OpenGL libraries.

Also before you try running the game, look at the Cedega settings by running:
%eve --config

Look under the configure options.

Modify the prefs.ini file, add audio=0, profit :)

Keep updating the ATI 3D driver. It will be the problem.

I have a blackscreen now after the update too. Using Cedega 6.0.3. Worked fine before the patch.

*also added the audio=0 in the prefs.ini, still no login screen*

Set "eulaagreed" in prefs.ini to 0, should help.

Does the loginscreen respond very slowly on keyboard interaction?
Maybe yet another issue of "not enough graphics memory available"?

Try this and let me know if it was "this" problem again. Laughing
