I have the same issue - mine always hangs at 63% downloaded. It has done this around 10 times now and it's just silly. CCP should provide a direct download link until this is resolved.

Also, could we *please* have a self extracting and running tarball? As these are the steps required for a non root user

mkdir foo
tar -C foo -xvzpf eve-000062.tg
CEDEGA_UPDATER_PATH=foo/usr/lib/eve foo/usr/bin/eve

OR you could just document this somewhere if you're technically unable to make a self extracting and running tarball.

They did in the devblog: Linkage

Download the .dat file and the checksum, and point the setup to the .dat file when it complains that it doesn't find the setup file.

I did that, and the setup succeeded on my Debian box (I was using the .deb package and chose the single user option). Well, the setup only Rolling Eyes. If I try to run EVE, I get the splash screen for about a minute, and nothing else. No Login, no errors. When I try and run it from a console, it says nothing, just exits without errors after checking for updates:

This is what cedega says about my system:

I know, this is quite close to the stated minimum requirements, but I already had EVE running earlier on this box with cedega, so it should be fine.

All cedega tests succeeded, installation worked fine, it just doesn't show the login screen ... Does anyone have EVE running on Debian 4.0? Any ideas what is wrong here?
