This is the most ridiculous most stupid attempt at hate propaganda I have ever seen. How BOB has survived with these kinds of mindless players ill never know. The enitre peice is based on unfounded analogies and feeble attempts at drawing on the most common prejudices of human kind. Goons were never persecuted to extinction. Maybe they had some bad sc****s with Dusk and Dawn but since forming up with RED, Goons have been more then welcome in the southern part of the galaxy.

After creating phantom connections between meaningless, totally false pieces of drivel, the author goes on to TRY to draw some kind of "conclusion". I have no idea why the question of whether or not Goons has a correct "self conception" of themselves (an already just plain stupid question to ask) has anything to do with their successes and those of the coalition. Its all really very simple. Goons like PVP. They have their own very uniquely Goons way of going about it. Their members love it and their allies love it. BOB, with their claims of being capable of controlling the EVE galaxy (and the will to try) have simply given Goons something to fight against. Any propaganda that tries to draw the focus from this idea with respect to the Goons is easily dismissed as exactly that. Propaganda.

It began with us camping S-U, the heart of their alliance. We did this for a month. In that time we owned them completely.

We removed the ingame pos, we removed them from their ingame ships and we removed thier ingame will to play.

They mocked us saying none of it mattered, yet they still continued to get owned.

Their alliance is a joke, there is no leadership, there is no teamwork.

There is nothing but a bunch of idiots playing eve solo while asslicking a ******.

The lucky ones are those who have seen through the facade and have moved onto other corps. They might have a future in eve.

Those who remain will be griefed, harrassed, killed, mocked and abused until the servers go down.

They will never be allowed to build up in any sector of 0.0 space and whose alliance will be slaughtered whenever we feel like it.

Goons in space?

No,

Corpses in space.

The Future of GoonSwarm
SO... what next?

Are we going to continue camping S-U for the remainder of our lives?
No.

Are GoonSwarm dead then!
No.

Are GoonSwarm ever going to be allowed to build up in any way in 0.0 space again?
No.

For the moment, we are leaving syndicate but we will continue to monitor the GoonSwarm and should we feel that they have done anything of note in the game, we will destroy it.

I am sure that some of those remaining GoonSwarm members will be rejoicing at having survived this long against us but I can only ask you were you have been recently.

Keep watching Goons, because we will.

We will be back, with gangs, with fleets, with BoB.

We command your game now. As long as you remain in GoonSwarm, we make you play our way and nothing you say will really convince yourself that this isn't true.

All Too Easy.

p.s. thanks to digi for the topic title <3

p.p.s. to the flamers and trolls not involved, I wouldn't waste your breath replying you'll just be ignored. Serious questions/comments only thanks.

Goons got spanked by BoB and are bitter, instead of bob completely destroying them which frankly would of been better in the long run they chose the more political side of things(and left them to rebuild) and stuck by their word. RA breaks the POS nap with LV... BOB decided to lend aid to them not to offensively push RA with a pos spamw of their own... and BAM everyone is like LV+BOB?!?! NO! then gang jumps bob.... All the north, all the east lol... as soon as that happens north goes full at bob... goons+RA go full at LV, LV dies... to many isk from the ruskies with their endless cap fielding abilities and goons fodder to bolster RA's major assets. In no way did bob attack someone or started this war... But as it stands the alliance casualty list to this war is astonishing.

Goons do one aspect of politics... propeganda they semed to have bought the t2 mod.
But when this war first started BoB was more outnumbered then they are now... have fun using RA's and ET's Titans to jump up those 20-50 freighters of fuel to run that space im pretty sure bob isnt missing the asset hole so they can focus more on killing with their isk then paying for feul in 3 near deserted regions..

Still ultimately this war as it stands now comes to two entities that are only slowing bob down IMO, Against All authorities(probably one of the best pound for pound alliances with exception of only MC)And Red alliance ofcourse... Nothing in this war has been done w/o those two of anything worth mentioning... all in all goons atm are nothing but fodder for the old boys. Gie them a year or two more of building and we might see a close ASCN relevence :D

Didn't read the OP so far, only some replies because they are probably shorter and more entertaining. Razz

Anyway, I think all these goon-generalizations can only fail.
What we see are a few thousand people that have some common background and want to play this game together as a group and have fun and/or win.
I mean, it's nothing new: There are corps that started originally with members of their old gaming clans from other games or corps that come mostly from one country ... all that is normal and common in other games, too.
Basically it's the same like with the Goons. The only real difference is imho that Goons are so many and play an important role. 5000 people, who feel united and stick together, can develop some impressive group dynamics, not to mention that 5000 people usually make more noise than 50.

If someone thinks that I have suddenly become pro-goon, no still prefer them red. I just keep those things in mind now, when I read goon posts now and don't take them too seriously.
You can't really win against 'The Goons' on CAOD. Once you trigger their solidarity by replying to a particular Goon post in a generalizing offending way, their support rolles in.

I'd say bottomline is imho that you better look at a Goon as an individal playing the game together in his corp/alliance/community instead of generalizing. There is a fundamental difference between the Goons and the Borg.
Goons come as individuals in different flavours and can be anything from reasonable, funny, ironic to plain annoying and do transitions with those states from one post to another. Wink

The problem for Goons is that they now themsleves are one of the old buys clubs. The goons that mostly raided the ISS constellations in Estoteria were not noobs in tech 1 ships - they were experienced players all in expensive tech 2 HAC's and recons.

So I think that Goons at some point will have problems recruiting new members, because somehow I do not see the "old" goon players setting up structures that help new players over the entry barriers.

For me it is just a matter of time before we see GOON 2.0 - a new corp that that hates goons and all the other "old boys" just the same and which will be able to recruit the noobs much easier. And lets face it - we need new players in EVE - bot the game and the alliances needs more players all the time to replace older players moving on to other games.

nah cause y'see all our bitter vets **** off to BOS or Rens911 so they don't have to shout at newbies.

it also helps that 99% of goonfleet were brought in and raised by goonfleet, so they know exactly what its like

Good god, the OP must have hit a nerve for Goons to throw this amount of smack at a thread...

I actually feel a tad sorry for them these days. They've lost their 'USP' as being 'noobs' since many have achieved more on fewer skillpoints, and if they still haven't got the skills to fly decent combat ships after this many years then it's down to sheer ineptitude.

They've also lost their self-claimed 'brand value' as being the only ones to stand up against BoB since the reality is that now anyone fighting for BoB is fighting for the underdog, and Goons are amongst the least effective combat forces BoB faces. Being 'anti-BoB' is now the mainstream. So 'meh' to that.

The only unique elements left of what once made Goons exciting is their ability to offend and their sheer numbers. When every other element of what made them 'special' has been taken away it's hardly surprising that they have to fall back on shock value and mob mentality.
