sometimes i am really surprised to see how a gm-dev not know his own game

imho is normal a drone boat have more dps than the same shipclass/tipology of other races. (they was designed for this lollllllll)

Gallente drone boat have a big problem of range, is normal if u engage an eos on a gate at 20km he win (power of gallente is short range..)

but make an eos encounter other command ship at 30km+ (whit more speed than him ) when lose the drone the eos have less dps and tank than his enemy. and cant chose tipology of dmg (except drone) and kill ogre II is quite easy , they move slow and are big.

And sometimes is not necessary the other command have more speed, he need only to concentrate to kill fast eos drone than later his superiority on tank win over the eos.


Go to watch video of eos vs amarr command, they tank simply too much for dps of eos..


Eos is good balanced command at moment, low range good dmg, good capacity to field various tipology of drone, less tank than others command.

eos whit 5 turret no heavy drones no +1 middle, is good for what? no dps, no tank, no extra ew, lol.

have all disadvantage, less range then others, less dps, less tank, less weapon slot.

The problem of this game is the people whit fastship like minnie, wanna win at short range vs the most powerful race on short range and when they are not capable to do it call for nerf.

No, I wouldnt use 3 mag stabs personally...

I dont really see the problem with the eos actually being usefull.

Now before amarr pilots point at the ungodly sin that is their fleet command ship just trust me i know how you feel... it has a big tank and the dps of a caracal.

The eos will soon have the dps of a thorax and as much as i love thorax's i dont usually pay 80-120 mil for them so value for money isnt an issue for me.

SO, because the other fleet command ships are complete failures because the roles ccp imagined for them dont ****ing exist this means that the eos is overpowered and needs an incredibly large nerf.

People LIKE field command ships because they're USEFULL... so WHY make the one fleet command that was good absolutely horrible...
Why not just make the other fleet command more like their field counterparts...

I mean at least the minnie fleet command has nice bonus's to distribute and the caldari one is sort of usefull for anti support or sniping with the fleet battleships but seriously... what the **** is the eos going to do now? Other than fail.
When the price reaches 30mil i might even fly one.

Take 3 of its turrets and for gods sake give it its heavy drones back.

Well exactly. This is the point CCP fail to see.

1. They say they ship is not being used within it's role. But then they turn round and give us Marauders which they say will be good for missions but are versatile enough for other tasks. So tell us CCP , which is it ? Do ships have roles or not ?

2. They say Astarte does more DPS than Eos, but of course on EFT this may be true but what nut job fits 3 magstabs on an Eos. Paper DPS means bugger all compared to how we actually use the ship. I use rails and sentries on mine. That's pretty low DPS compared to my neutron Astarte.

3. They say they are overpowered compared to other fleet commands, but WTF they are supposed to be short range HIGH dps race ! And it's a drone boat ! Duh. Get a decent pilot in any other Fleet command and the Eos will likely DIE 1v1. It's orgre 2s are easy to shoot down, can't be scooped and recharged anymore, it's tank isn't as good. The other Fleet commands have such mega tanks by the time the Eos is anywhere near breaking them, it's own cap will probably run out and it will have NO tank.

So sure, take off a few turret points if you so wish, but FFS leave it alone and let it be a useful, flexible ship.

I fully agree, a cruiser doing BC and CS damage is way out of line. Vexor must be nerfed to 50MB/s, CCP please do it, its so OP its ruining the game.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT TAKE ANY DRONE SKILLS IN CHARACTER CREATION SINCE THEY WILL BE BASICALLY USELESS COMPARED TO GUNS AND MISSILES!!!

Well I'm hoping that much like broken mining foreman links, information links will get a revisit. I hadn't had much experience with a CS running links until last night when we did a nano gang with a claymore in it, and man was it amazing. If some type of drone link could be worked into the information group (or just get rid of the information group and make it drone bonuses instead) I think it would increase it's usage a lot, because currently there's only one information link worth even looking at (the ewar range one).

I don't fly any gallente ships but I think I'd be pretty ****ed if some of my ships that took months to train for suddenly became worthless, I wonder why there are even any amarr people playing EVE at this point, I would have raged out already. I hope these issues get addressed, a little explanation would go a long way.

Ninja edit: Also, whoever said the roles don't exist for these ships is dead wrong. Last night our claymore was the largest ship in the gang, but it most definitely had a role in it. He did nothing but pop anti-support ships, call targets, and pretty much provide overwatch for my sabre and the other tacklers. Amazingly, the fleet command ship did just that, fleet command, he wasn't the gang's DPS or primary tanker or anything, he just stayed aloof, gave his bonuses, and kept the smaller ships out of trouble. It was pretty ****ing awesome to see how all the different ships we had meshed together, it was the most fun I've had in months even if we only popped a couple of ships.

The problem with a lot of roles like that isn't that "they dont exist," it's that players don't want to use them for their intended role, they want the easy wins instead. No problem with finding other uses, but don't act like the role doesn't exist.

Well, I remember using cruise missiles with my Inquisitor (the amarr missile frig). So the answer must be "Since the begining".

You have light, medium and heavy. Light for Frigates/Destroyers.
Medium for Cruisers and Battlecruisers.
Heavy for Battleships.

Otherwise, I would very much like to fit 4 or 5 Mega Pulse's on my Harbinger or Omen for that matter.
