CCP I was hoping you guys could announce if the dominix, ishtar & eos will still be able to launch 5 x tech 2 ogres. I need to know now, becuase if they can't I need to rethink my whole gameplan and switch to minmitar if drones are gonna be nerfed on these ships.

the dominix almost certainly will be able to, unless the ability to control 5 heavies is removed from all ships short of capitals entirely, which i doubt is happening. the other two are not as certain, though id still be surprised if they werent able to.
regardless, i doubt they will lose dps. their bonuses will probably be adjusted and/or they will be allowed to launch more drones if 5 heavies are not allowed. |

The only ship I see as being possibly hit by a nerfbat DPS-wise with the drone bandwidth change would be the Myrmidon.
Eos and Ishtar should be pretty safe, and Dominix is definetely in absolutely no danger whatsoever.
If anything, maybe some other ships will get a slight buff for normal drone damage, while removing the "5x T2 Ogres from any ship with 25+ m^3 dronebay" scenario from the face of the galaxy. |

Awww my favorite speculation.
I doubt dominix would lose dps, since I suppose battleship is supposed to do "battleship like" damage. However I suspect smaller droneships like myrmidon, ishtar, eos and vexor might be on line. |

That doesn't neccecarily mean that the damage will remain the same. Drone bandwidth is designed to allow specialised ships to hold more drones than they can launch while putting a tight constraint on dps. This means more replacement drones and more types of drone but it does not automatically follow that damage will be left as is. The Myrmidon is a prime example of a ship with perhaps a little too much firepower for its size class. It's essentially a little Dominix. |

I'm actually a lot more interested in how non-drone ships will be affected, and how everyone's favourite miniature drone carrier, the Ishkur, will be affected. Will the Ishkur have an increased base drone bay and 40 bandwith for the "standard" 3 mediums/2 lights but now also with backups? Will the Hurricane, Drake, Harbinger and other Battlecruisers and cruisers be able to field a second wave of their drone choices?
I really hope the Ishkur won't get a bandwith of 25 :/.
Will some ships be rebalanced in such a way that they can actually deploy more drones than before? |

*some* of the drone boats. i didnt say i wanted that for the myrm, that thing deserves a nerf. i was referring more to the ishtar and eos. i would classify boosting mediums to heavy dps values as a good guess for the definition of "un-nerfing". oh man, vexor with 25% lights would be sexy as all hell. |

Speculation and popular opinion intermingled with the scraps CCP gives us indicate that the Dominix will still be able to launch 5 x tech 2 ogres after the introduction of Drone Bandwidth. The Ishtar and Eos are question marks, but at the very least the Dominix will only benefit or at least will not be hurt. |

How about Sentry Drones? I use them and I'd really like to continue using them - they are no where near as popular as Heavies.. so I see no reason why they should have the same Bandwidth requirement as Heavies... just saying.. |

well if the eos would lose its 5 t2 ogres than what damage does it have left... as far as i know the eos doesnt get a drone damage bonus, and the eos max damage is very much inline with other command ships. |

compare the eos/astartes to a nighthawk:(, it should loose a drone fly caldari in pvp then whine about the nerfbat. bout time the mrym suffered too

Out of curiosity, why address the topic to CCP when you know that a bunch of players will answer your question? Unless you really think CCP would be inclined to give you an answer to something that will become clear soon enough (if its not already) when the question or answer neither affect any gameplay? |

The two biggest targets are the myrmidon and Eos (as said on eveTV during the tournament). So I expect them both to be reduced to less heavies. The others I really hope not. |

Maybe you like the sleipnir more for other reasons? maybe you already had more minnie skills? maybe you didnt want to train for hybrids and drones? Theres a ton of reasons... Not everyone flies the ship that is overpowered at the time.. Just because you dont fly a ship, doesnt mean it sucks.. I rat most of the time with my Megathron, doesnt mean the raven is worse for ratting. In fact, the raven is better, but i just prefer my gallente ships. Do you get my point? or should i keep going. EDIT: Also note i never said the Eos was actually overpowered. I just said CCP doesnt like ships that can solo (aka do everything, tank and DPS, etc etc) |
