Hello!
Is the max amount of drones that you can have in space at the same time always 5?
Or can it be increased with a skill or something?
Thanks for help

5 is the maximum you can have a normal ship, with drones V.

Carrier (Archon, Thanatos, Chimera, <insert minmatar carrier name here>) you can use 10 with Carrier V and drones V, however you can increase this limit to 15 by using Drone Control Units. These Drone Control Units can only be used on Carriers and Motherships. You need the skill Advanced Drone Interfacing to be able to use Drone Control Units.

Motherships (Wyvern, Hel, Nyx and the Aeon) With Carrier V can use 20 drones, with an additional V using 5 Drone Control Units with Drone Interfacing at V.

Bare in mind not alot of people use more than two Drone Control Units as you can fit your ship more usefully, smartbombs/neutralizers, etc.

There is ONE none capital ship that can use more than 5 drones.
The Guardian Vexor.
This ship can use 10 drones at once with Drones V however its incredibly rare and if you are too find one it wont cost you less than 5 billion ISK.

I heard that they are no longer in game so if you find one you have died and gone to heaven...Very Happy

50 were realeased as part of an event, there's about 20-30 left, iirc.

I dont think theres even that many left. Probably more like 5-10. Wish I had one.

They were also seeded on the market for a short time 4 years ago.

I would think flying one of those would be just asking to get ganked. I mean really, what's a little sec status hit compared to destroying a priceless ship? You can't have one, at least destroy one. :)

Your answer suggests that Advanced Drone Interfacing allows you to field more drones, which is only partially accurate. It allows the use of one Drone Control Module for each level, which allows a carrier to field one more drone per module installed. It is an otherwise useless skill for any ship besides a carrier, as normal ships cannot fit drone control modules.

And the market listing stayed there until fairly recently, meaning that the Guardian Vexor was famous among rare ship dealers for the number of enquiries made by newbies who wanted one.
