The autodumper/Reverence method also fails with Incarna. autodumper generates marketlogs with only headers but no data, but it doesn't report any parsing errors. Is this a problem in autodumper or Reverence?

ups... a 64 bit Integer bug...

Thought i had fixed those.
Will be fixed in the next release, which I'll probably release as beta in this thread. Maybe tomorrow.

Itīs no bug,
itīs a change in the API data (please see the changelog of Incursion for details).

API has changed. Open main.py and replace "issued" with "issueDate"

Allright
The version 1.7.1 BETA is here.
Use it at your own risk.

EveMarketScannerSetup_beta_v1.7.1.msi

Remember if you have issues please send me the error logs from "%APPDATA%\Eve Market Scanner" directory, and also the marketlog that made it fail. Send to eraggan(dot)sadarr(at)gmail(dot)com.
If you have other issues/comments, then post 'em here.

forgot the changelog:

Changelog:
v1.7.1 Beta
- Fixed: Marketlog API change on 'issueDate'. [Autodumper users must change the script themselves in main.py from 'issued' to 'issueDate'.]
- Change: Added multiple columns and removed old dropdown view.
- Change: Major code restructuring. (hence the beta, to catch any restructuring bugs)

Well, just to make one thing clear:
I did not create autodumper, and i don't support it!

But to be nice, the installation procedure is something like this:

  1. Install Python(2.6/2.7 32bit seems to work best, even on Win7 64bit)

  2. Install reverence (http://github.com/ntt/reverence)

  3. Open the main.py in a text editor and change:
self.eve to match your Eve location
self.out to match the marketlogs location (remember EMS needs to point to this path too!)
Remember that paths in main.py need to be escaped like this "C:\\somedir\\logs"

  4. Run main.py (if doubleclicking doesn't work run it from command prompt: python main.py)

  5. API changed with Incarna 1.0 so you have to do a search and replace for 'issued' and change to 'issueDate' in main.py

The error occurs during the attempt to use Pywin32. It is installed alright (the files are there), but there is some problem with the file versions; I'd guess you installed a 64-bit Pywin32 onto a 32-bit Python, or vice versa.

Try uninstalling everything Python and then reinstall, making sure you use only 32-bit versions of Python and Pywin32 (i.e. filenames don't have "amd64" in them, that indicates 64-bit versions).

I have a problem.

If i use the auto dumper to export logs, the scanner shows the logs as if they were empty, but sometimes MAGIC happens and some of it start to work randomly.

Anyone could help?

No, the python DLLs are called .pyd. However, Python should find the file now, the directory/file names are correct. Did you reboot the system after installing the new Python? Some path changes need a reboot to take effect.

Have you changed main.py as described above? If not, just download the modified main.py and replace the one in the autodumper folder with that. Marketlog exports will work in Incarana, but there are still some other problems (character orders don't seem to work).

Fantastic good stuff! One question I can't figure out on my own. I'm using autodumper. I was testing to see if I needed to change all of the "issue" to "issuedDate", IE not just the library calls but also the log headers, (I wasn't sure if Market Scanner would be ok with either version of the header). it seems to not mind either, (can you confirm?).

I also noticed that you are reporting the exported time as Eve server time, is this intentional?

Otherwise thanks heaps...

@Kandreath:
In the Beta version i actually just look at the new 'issueDate' and not the old 'issued', so the old files will show as expired. I really felt that it was bad to do a workaround for legacy API, that would only be valid for a maximum of three months. I can do it if there is enough demand.

And yes it is intentional that i use evetime, the files are exported in that format and the client shows that time. Would you like it in your local time?

Do you use the new beta version?

Ok no problem - Just needed to know which one would work. - Probably thinking about the change to autodumper too much.

Where it got confusing for me was I was trying to exclude logs exported the previous day. However my timezone is a few hours ahead of the Eve server, so I just need to make sure I don't the system file times, but the time stamp in the filename.

Yes absolutely, the new beta is working fine. It's even a bit better than the previous version. Thanks for spending the time.

I downloaded but this but I have no idea what to do with it now.

It requires market logs, and I don't have any of these. How exactly do you get market logs ?

Is there a way to export all the data from one regional market into this thing ? I don't have any buy/sell orders for now, I'm just looking to analyze the markets a bit.

Read here
You either export them yourself or use autodumper, which you can read about in previous posts.

I have followed all the steps but when i run main.py i get the following error:

File "F:\Users\samsonite\Documents\EVE\autodumper\autodumper\main.py", line 116
print "Exporting Market orders for %s to %s" % (type, outfile)
^

I know you dont support autodumper but maybe this is a quick fix. Any suggestions?

EMS is amazing btw, thank you sooooo much for this

I think you have made an error previously in the file before the actual line mentioned. Start over with a fresh copy of autodumper.

Yes its down for me too. We have had very heavy rain and thunder storms in Copenhagen, so that might be the cause for the outage.
I'm on vacation and don't have access to my development machine. I hope it will be up by morning.

Are you using a Python 3 version? Python 3.x is not fully compatible with Python 2.x, some things were changed to unify the syntax, among them the print instruction. A switch to a Python 2.x install should fix your problem then.

Otherwise download the already modified main.py and copy it over the one in the autodumper folder.

The hosts are back up, but thank you for your generous offer. In any case it would be nice to have an alternative in situations like that. I'll contact you when i get back from vacation. Otherwise you could just download the files and host them on your server as a mirror. I can change the op with the links if you post them here.
