I got that mail aswell, TBH theres nothing wrong with the mail but its not from CCP if thats what you're asking, also that site links to buying isk so bad webmaster.

If you want to enter said contest there aren't really any rules about not doing that but buying isk is bad mmmmkay

Looks like an ISK seller has hired someone to do some PR work. They aren't asking for any real information though, just a char name, so the contest itself could be legit. I'd use an email account not connected to your eve account though, just to be safe!

Well even if it was legit, the fact that it has a HUGE advert for ISK would make me avoid it. So, Ms. Burgi, do you think it is ok to buy ISK?

it was the adverts for isk that made me question it but google adwords sometimes pulls up isk selling sites, i thought that might be the case here.

i'd be willing to enter if i could be sure the isk involved was gained from legitimate sources.

I agree.

The banner resides at their own servers so they are intentionally advertising ISK selling (and only ISK selling). This really looks like a ISK Selling PR attempt.

Oh, and, the award ISK might be tainted, so dont expect on keeping it even if you win.

If they made the ISK ingame, no matter how they made it, you will be able to keep it Smile

well a quick trip to internic reveals their ISP is in the states so CCP should be able to get it shutdown if it does turn out to be dodgy.

in the meantime i've uploaded this screenshot of my crow pwning some drones. best i could do without switching on my external HDD.

Ahm.. no. If the ISK come from an ISK seller, the GM/dev will remove the isk you got. Otherwise, those the buy ISK would be able to keep them, as the only way to make ISK is ingame (but if you got an out-of-game ISK printing machine, I would love to se it Laughing)
You could plead you case to the GM's, that the ISK you got was not bought but won in a contest. But that would have to be evaluated by the GM's.
