Whats the difference between 1.0 and 0.5 space. Its all "safe" space, so any illegal actions result in being Concorded. Do you lose more sec status if you opt to perform any of these illegal actions in 1.0 compared to in 0.5? Ive played this game for quite a few months and still dont know the difference! Embarassed

Concord react quicker and with more force in 1.0 than 0.5

The rats are fatter in 0.5 vs 1.0

The rocks are better in 0.5 vs 1.0

eh, thats about it really

There are minor differences.

CONCORD takes longer to arrive in 0.5 - 20 seconds last time I had the opportunity to be waiting for them to come save my ship.
Very naughty pirates are banned from all high sec space, whereas not so naughty ones are only banned from 1.0.
There are others.

Just a small piece of advice. Remove the concept of "safe" space from your thinking. It will probably save your pod.

Yup.

But, that being said, minor differences really. Its the same concept in lowsec and nullsec, where a 0.1 is better than a 0.4 for ore and rats, and a -1.0 is better than a -0.5 true security status system on the frontier. However, there are no rules in nullsec, and the same criminal flagging system applies from 0.1 to 0.4 if you shoot someone.

Exactly, someone bio read something like this; "CONCORD only provides consequences, you alone can provide your own safety" and it's true.
