Hi,
I am in a corp and we have alliances with other corps. But some of the corps have +light blue , +dark blue ect... by their portrait. Where can I find a faq on interpreting that and also -red?

If I remember rightly, default is something like this:

Purple Person = Gang member
Green Star = Corporation
Blue star = Alliance
Dark blue + = Above +5 standings
Light blue + = Between 0 and 4.9 standing
Nothing = Neutral standings
Light orange - = between -5 and -0.1 standing
Red - = Below -5 standing
Flashy Red in local = Wartarget
Flashy red skull = criminal.

Might have a few of those confused because I haven't flown with default colours in a while

These come in handy a lot later on when you need to know whose in corp, alliance, at a good standing, an enemy, etc. You can specify what icons you want to show on overview or background colors to their names by right clicking on the the little arrow on your overview and choose open overview settings.

The default icon for a war target is a red star.
