This game is borderline screwed. With so many ships, pods, implants being lost due to desyncs (not talking about normal lag here) since Rev 2. Patches have been released to address the desyncs (so CCP admit there are issues), only for their logs to show nothing when you lose your beloved ship. They give you the copy and paste treatment in petitions? Fine! I've set a long skill on both accounts and payments stopped. They want to fob us off with copy and paste? Then they don't get our money.

This is the only way for CCP to acknowledge, we don't want new shiney stuff, we want the damn game fixed and reimburse for THEIR server issues!!!

Set a long skill, end the payments, sign the forum. They can't ban us all!!!

*** EDIT *** This is PURELY about game mechanics, nothing to do with ANY alliance or war. This is about ALL OF US who've been given the same lack of support.

CCP - Don't gag my chars please. I did not swear at all!!!!!!!!! They gagged me because I pasted this link in Jita lol.

You have been gagged by GM Faolchu until 2007.08.02 01:36:09. GM Faolchu's reason was: Swearing in Public Chat Channels.

Freedom of speech!

*** Note **** On the Serenity server, skills no longer train when the owning account is deactivated. Tranquility is not affected by this change.

desync example = you're at a gate, hit warp, client screen stays at the gate, but the server has warped you off.

lag example = you see the gate, but when hostiles jump in, you see nothing for 5 minutes.

ok by us all signing this it won't either but hopefully the more posts like this there are the sooner they will realise these issue STILL exist and will either fix them or refund losses..

there have been billions of isks lost due to this bug.

That's strange, cause I just checked the subscription numbers, and apart from them increasing every month, this month had an even bigger increase than last month...

Maybe it's time you found a better way to do things. Would you like to watch a fleet battle to get things strait? oh wait, no, that wouldn't work you wouldn't be able to see anything because your screen would probably freeze up, or you'd end up at the login screen.

Thats borderline flaming, and sounds very unethical coming from a CCP employee.

Desync and lag are 2 diffrent things. i've never had a desync, but im sure i'd be ****ed off if i had to deal with loosing iskies due to the inability of eve's code to deal with large numbers of people in 1 system.

This is about the game mechanics, not war... if anyone has experienced desyncs and get jack in their petitions (server logs show nothing blah blah blah), then read original thread. This is purely about the mechanics and CCP should stop copy and pasting.

So what do you want them to do about it aside from fix it? And how are you helping this fixing process? I'm sure you've filed detailed bug reports every time you've encountered a desync, right? Rolling Eyes

I thought Spartans were supposed to fight to the (node) death...

As an aside, I don't mind that older players are leaving the game. It means 1 less 3 year old player with a dreadnaught that I have to worry about. The loss of players with lots of experience is saddening, and it is saddening to those who knew the players, but from a gameplay standpoint it is not that bad, provided you are getting new players and retaining them (which ccp is doing a fairly good job at I'd say).

Old players leaving means that there is a power vacuum that newer players can fill. It's sad to see old faces go, but it's even cooler to meet new awesome people.

and again with all due respect, YOU KNOW NOTHING!!! and more importantly THIS IS NOT ABOUT SPARTA.. ignore the corps or the alliances in this and read the text.. it's is saying the game is broken due to desyncs and it's annoying various ppl.. I know of several alliances/Corps who have suffered from this, latest of which is MC today..

now on a side note, before trying to slag SPARTA off I suggest you do some reading about us first, you will find that we fought MC when they came up here, we lost billions fighting them.. and for our reward we were shot at by blues..

there's several posts here and on EVE tribune...

Good point about the bug reports, if you're in a posistion to experience these things, bug report them and help CCP help you!

Well, the average time a person stays with a MMOG is somewhere between 6 and 12 months, very roughly, so any corporation or alliance would have people joining and leaving at any time.

I'm not saying there aren't issues with EVE, though we do work hard to get things resolved, we're constantly working on improving hardware, software and content.

But I see the subscription numbers, and the idea that EVE is going to die because people are leaving is simply not true, those subscription numbers go up every month.

So then wrangler, allow me to ask the following questions:

1. Why do you feel new customer acquisition is more important than customer retention?
2. After that fleet battle in UEJ last week, how many subscriptions did you lose in the following 24-hour period? I personally expect that the number is more than 5 times your normal account loss per day.
3. In the past month, has the average number of skill points in eve, based on active subscriptions, increased or decreased.
4. Why has the escalated petition of a senior player and alliance leader, who himself has several characters well over 35 million skill points, not been responded to.
5. Why, despite numerous petitions of the same issue, do the GMs continue to respond with the same copy/paste response?
6. Why have GMs closed petitions and threatened with players with disciplinary action when time and time again it is clear that there IS a problem, server logs notwithstanding.

Lastly.... you seem to have missed the point of this thread. The issue is quality, not quantity of the player base. There are, I'm sure, several accounts that quit every day, and there are new players who replace the old. Such is the natural life cycle of the game.

But, when many of your older, more experienced players, players who have contributed wads of real-world cash over multiple years for multiple accounts, tell you there is a problem with your product, you have to listen. You have to investigate, and you have to act.

Worse... your game advertises "Massive Fleet Battles"... and I can think of several incidents in the past week alone where this has been proven blatantly false.

I say that your customer service is lacking, simply because you are misrepresenting your product and service. That, above all else, is a disservice to your customers.

Yes... I could just quit, but I've put far too much time and effort into my characters, and have gone through too much with my corp and alliance to simply call up the account management page and select quit. I'm just staying around, patiently hoping that CCP is able to fix this critical issue. But there are limits to everyone's patience.

Increased concurrent user records mean nothing if the game cannot function as it was designed.
