Its pretty simple thinking to me, frigates should not be able to hold down any BS indefinately all by themselves, in groups yes they could do this thats fine. There is no change needed for nos and out of all the changes possible this change is the most rediculous one I have seen.

Amarr pilots i know spent such a long time training gunnery with trace missile skills
And now ????

Spose it might be one way to solve some lag problems....50% amarr race leave game thru

Khanid were missile boat when they were introduced in game, they are just correctign the mess they made when they changed khanid. Stop complainign like useless childs and learn a second weapon system like ALL OTHER RACES have to do.

All this is a huge boost to ammar, what ungrateful people.

I agree that NOS should be nerfed and I think CCP is on the right track but I think this nerf is slightly larger than what I'd like to see.

I'm not sure that this is the best possible NOS fix, and I hope there will be tweaks for specific ships, but even as is the game will be better and more interesting than it is now.

If you ask me taking NOS completely out of the game would be even better.

You want to restore your cap - there are cap boosters.

You want to drain the enemy's cap - there are cap neutralizers.

You want cheap and free gimmicks - then it's your problem... adapt or die... on second thought take that "adapt" away...

Didn't we have this kind of argument 2 years ago with missiles. Nos is way overpowered as missiles were. This has been long on the cards, get over it and adapt.

As for Khanid Mk2, interesting looking changes.

Oh and before anybody asks I do fly both the Curse and Pilgrim or rather did fly the Curse, it got to boring.

Who uses the most Cap. Amarr.
Who is always desperately low on Cap. Amarr
Who is most susceptable to NOS because of their reliance on Cap. Amarr.

Because of the above:
Who is going to have less cap than their opponents in 90% of the situations. Amarr
Since they have less cap than their opponents, who's NOS is still going to work in 90% of all situations. Amarr
Who's opponents are going to have MORE cap than their enemy and hence their NOS isn't going to work? Amarr.

This is an Amarr BUFF, not nerf.

/So not signed - I doubt that CCP had intended NOS to be a primary weapon system, they are just fixing it now. Any module that is a "must have" for any fit to be effective needs to be re-evaluated.

Indeed.. So if you still want to drain your enemys cap dry using nos only then just fit the most cap hungry lasers you can find and watch your cap drain right alongside his.. YARRRR!!

I am very new to eve but Nos is obviously an overpowered weapon when used on a ship that can supplement it's damage sources. It breaks a rule, that something which harms your enemy can not also benefit yourself inversely, a Nos takes their energy, decreases (could even kill) their tank and fire power, increases your tank and makes what firepower you have so much more effective Vs their tank which is probably non-existant as they've ran out of cap.

Very quickly all ship combat could be reduced to Nos fests where even small amounts of damage are technically massive as the other player's tank has collapsed.

The new Nos system is far more logical and tactical, and surely can only benefit good players. Perhaps Put neutralisers on one ship so you kill it's capacity and drain Nos from another ship. How nice, using one players capacitor to kill anothers with both of them ending up with dead capacitors!

People who are moaning about this reveal themselves to be skilless, cookie cutter 'fotm' gamers, imho, you get them on all mmo's and they all whine when the game gets rebalanced.



As for the Kahnid ships, I've obviously never used them (I fly a simple punisher frigate!), but a missile boat being able to armour tank and pack EW/tackle in it's mids is surely a good thing, it's like a reversal of caldari ships and thus what appperently 'gimps' them for PvP - that they have trouble tanking and fitting tackle/EW as it fills up the mid slots and their lows are needed for damage mods/support systems.

Also the resistances on the restyled vengence assault frigate seem quite nice.

Please stop whining about nos nerf, everyone with a little insight understands that this change is desperatly needed. Frigates will not be able to hold down a bs even after this nos change. Answer will be to fit neutrilizers instead. This change will also help most amarr ships using lasers and I think that is great as they are desperate cap users and still might benefit from using nos.

Curse/Pilgrim already have bonuses to neuts so they are really going to be largly uneffected by this change.. *How* you fit and use them of course is going to need some rethinking but thats what is so fun about basic gameplay changes.. If forces you to try something different and at the heart of it I think thats were most of the anti-nos change angst is coming from.. Twisted Evil

nos nerf goes too far. make it cap dependent but not the way it is now! you can not see the cap of your opponent and when he has less then you, your nos are useless. just make the cap draining depend on the percentage of the cap the enemy ship has:

enemy cap @ 40% -> nos effectivity: 40%

As compared to before where you NOS'd him, he NOS'd you and your cap failed first because of your lasers....

But you are right this can happen. I can imaging 2 NOS Domis that failed to adapt (or didn't read the patch notes when it releases) in a death spiral of NOS and Drones Laughing

NOS is now more of a defensive module, no longer a primary weapon system.

This Nerf Makes No logical Sence and there Explination of it is Ridiculus. And the fact they say there is no "sacrafice" to use NOS is ******ed. ever hear of "HIGH SLOTS!" yeah thats right to use the NOS we have to Sacrafice our high slots! what a freaking joke. Get a clue CCP stop nerfing PvP or lose out on a large amount of your playerbase.

I'm going to bite the bullet and say change. I fly mainly Nos Domi uber pwn all setups, but you know what? 30 mins on sisi and I've got my new ships/setups sorted.

People whining about the changes are just too lazy to adapt.
