Im using office 2008 and the macros to update dont seem to work, even after enabling all macros...

EDIT: Closed the document and re-opened it and works fine, good job man

Yes you are right, at this time the Profit pr hour is only for Small towers. I guess i could make an option to select if you want to calculate the Moon mining profit for M and L towers aswell.

Only just started playing with this and it's what I've been looking for - for quite some time now.

Now if you could only pull the inventory using the API that would be really really nice :p

Oh and the backup option isn't working at least on my vista computer using office excel 2007 and I can't see the blueprint icon that the pdf manual displays, in fact my sheet looks nothing like the screenshots used in the pdf.

That being said, it's a very very nice tool to use, but I will test it further later on tonight.

I have tried to import the inventory, but its a total mess, and i havent been able to make real search and lookup in all that imported data. so i have no plans about doing it in a near future.

About the T1 production, you are right, then How To Do manual which tells about T1 production sheet is out of date :) i resently rebuild the T1 Production sheet, you no longer have to inter the minerals your self, you just select the T1 blueprint from the drop down menu.

I do not use Vista myself, so i can not explain why you cant get the backup to work, but iw seen others use Vista where it works, so it should be possible.


New version 10.8.3
the main diference here is to the POS production sheet. You can now calculate tower incom for all types of towers, not only for the small like before.

I'm posting here cause I think I found some inaccuracies in a few BPO's mineral need that I own:
EMP M + Phased Plasma M + all Cruise Missiles (except Cataclysm BPO), they lack some need of Isogen and Mexallon on some of these BPO's...

Where do you got the info on the material need for the BPO?

I have just checked, and i dont see anything wrong with the BP that you mention, other than the Phased Plasma M, cruise missiles seems ok to me?

what exact mineral is it that are missing?

the BPo information was imported from EVE-online database, but some of it is outdated, so ill be happy to correct the ones that are wrong, but wont check them all. I will ofcause correct the ones that you guys find.

Hey Dedaf, fantastic spreadsheet. Far and away the most useful one I've found yet.

Found one small error though. The probe BPOs that I checked (Multispectral Frequency and Gravametric Quest specifically) produce 1 unit per run, not 100. After a quick look see, every other probe seems to be the same.

This is a fantastic tool and I highly recommend it to every industrialist out there!

Just downloaded your sheet for the first time and have yet to really get into.
(Thanks ahead of time! I know how much work can go into something like this.)

Onward:
I just succesffully imported my character and noticed on the data sheet it is not listing the skill name, just "skills" for all of my characters attributes.
I noted in the documentation it actually listed the skil.
I wanted to check that I hadn't miss something or bring it to your attention if it was a bug.

I also thought it might be useful to clarify if you need the Full or limited API to import all of the data the workbook requires in the documentation or workbook itself.

I havent seen that error before, Maybe you could tell which applicatioin you are using and version? ex excel 2003 or openoffice?

About the skill name, then it doesn't matter that it only show skill, all that the sheet needs is the skill ID, so if you can import the skill then the sheet will handle the rest. So its not a bug.

The API can be both limited or full key. for now you wont get any more features using the full instead of the limited, because all it does is import characters and skills.
But im working on a new version where the POS production sheet can import your Tower's and its fuel, so you can keep track of when your tower runs out of fuel, from out of game, when i release that version then you will need the Full API if you want to use that feature.

B) A small favour if possible. - Some of us are using os's that cannot upload api keys so could you add a few more skills to the data section so that all applicable skills can be uploaded. - For example on the jump freighter production sheet some of the purple skills required show "0" because there is no entry data point unless via the "api" key.

skills like : mechanical engineering, minmitar starship engineering and the like. These would upload via the API key but there is no place to load them manually on the data sheet - unless i'm not seeing it

ah sry about that.
You can either download the version 10,9,a that i just put up, where i have added them to the list of pre entered skill's in the data sheet.
Or you can simply add them your self and safe you the hassel of redownloading the sheet again. the ID's are as followed

Mechanical Engineering 11452
Gallentean Starship Engineering 11450
Amarrian Starship Engineering 11444
Minmatar Starship Engineering 11445
Caldari Starship Engineering 11454

There are no other change in this version than this, compared to 10,9 so no need for otheres who uses the auto API, to download the 10,9,a if you have the 10,9 already.

Hello, I am very new to excel and to eve. How do i enable excel Macro for just this file and not for every file? Every time i try to run the sheet i get told macro is not enabled, and i only want to enable for this sheet but see no options in excel for it.

Ok forget that problem i simply moved the file to the trusted folder.

But i have a new problem when i went to update mineral price it starts to update then at about 85% i get an error that says "c:\t1_production_backup.xml" , "Data Source not found" where do i get that file from or is it a excel programming issue?

The file it is asking for is a backup file. Its is used to store all your BPo/c information that you entered in the T1 Production sheet. Since it is the first time you use this sheet that file has not been generated yet.
Go to the T1_Production sheet and click backup even though you havent entered any BP's yet, this will generate a backup file on your C:/ harddrive.

About the macros, you just have to set security level to Medium, then a pupop will ask if you want to enable micros or not when you open the excel file.

Hello, Thanks for the quick reply and help it is greatly appreciated. It is now working but i have one more bug/trouble. I entered my api information and it entered all the information from it, but the information is not correct. I checked my skills with what was entered and there are several that are different so I need to change them Manually. Is this a bug that you know of or is that supposed to happen?

I have never seen that before. If your skills are not correct then its a trubbel with your API, the sheet does not modify the imported data.
All it use it for is to lookup the skill ID's and then use that corrosponding lvl somwhere in the sheet.
If you are thinking about the names compared to what is pre entered then skill names are changed to "skill" but its not a problem since the sheet looks for the skill ID.

I would like to see your sheet, just import the skill's remove your API key and other info you find privat then send it on a mail to me.
Mail me ingame for my mail if needed.

Dedaf, does your skill parser account for unpublished skills? If not, that might be a problem.

It replaces the level field for those skills.
(The skill is mnemonics btw)

Hello, I will contact you ingame for your email as I have used api again on another of my players, and i have same problem. I know for the "mining director" skill is wrong and several others.

[Edit] I Have checked the typeid for Mining Director as 22552 and my Xml list it as level 3, buy the excel sheet keeps putting a 5 in the slot. Also warefar link i dont have yet it keeps going to 5 as well. There are a few others but I can't remember them at this time.

[2nd Edit] Ok i checked the sheet under data it lists the mining driector as lvl 3, but on the Mining page/sheet it show as 5. I am still trying to find the other wrong ones..

I will send you my char.xml when i get your email.

  • Mobile Small/Medium/Large Warp Disruptor (also needs Electronic Parts and Warp Scrambler I's)

This is not a bug.
It is because Mining forman, Mining Director and warefar link are Gang skills, it is therefor not always you who give the bonus,and therefore they are not updated via the API key, you need to set them manually to give the most precise mining yield. othervice it would not show right.
Basically all purple fields are API updated skills, all blue fields are unlocked fields for you to change manaully.

I dont know what a unpublished skill is? so the sheet wont know to use a different skill ID if thats what you are asking. But if your question is related to the abow one then this is not the problem.

I will make sure to look in to this, but i dont think i will add the micros, since all micro BPo has been removed from game, and only the ones players have exsist.
If those are t2 items or for some reason needs other t1 moduels then i will remove them i think, but ill look in to that and correct what i can in the next version. thanks for the bug reporting.

Thanks a lot.
There are no pree entered T2 items in this sheet.
I do however have a T2 Production sheet included, but you need to enter the material manually.

Thank you very much, and yes you are right, it was missing.
Though it is not a basic T1 item, and therefore needs other material than just minerals, my sheet does not add those in the calculation.
