Any chance we would be able to unprotect the sheet? Why are we unable to view macro source?

Seconding this, hiding the source only suggests there is something to hide.

I will tell you why, if i do (when i did) i really fast find exact copies of this sheet everywhere. Considering how much time i spend on building this then i find that a bit annoying. So that is why.

If you look at the date of when this thread was first posted you will notice. It started in 2007, If there was ever anything wrong with the code and any form of information gathering it would have been brought up long before now! He is protecting the code that he has created so others cannot copy it which as we all know is plagiarism.
I am sure alot of people would like to see it and try to make their own sheets using it.

Simply enjoy what he has created. If you have something you would like to suggest then simply ask instead of suggesting that he is trying to fish for information.

The reason for the msg BPO not found is that, when you build t2 items then you need t2 components. and they are build with BP as well which again need a ME lvl. There for you need to find and set the me lvl of this BP, scroll down in the t2 sheet to row 114, then you can add the component bp and set its me lvl.
i dont understand the problem you see in t1 production tab, most be some problem with your sheet, try to download it again.

Hope its helps you

On T1_Production Tab:
The material requirements for Jump Portal Generator (Ship_equipment, Gang_Assist_modules) seems to have incorrect quantities. For example at ME:0, the spreadsheet says 158,950 nocxium is required. In game BPO says 602,031 is required. Isogen is the only material with the correct number.

Also on T1_production tab:
When I select pirate_ship category and then cruisers, the item list loads the regular (non pirate) cruisers.

On the data sheet:
There are two listings for transmitter, H77 and O94. Is there anyway to make them "link" like you did with Robotics?

Correction: One should be "high-tech transmitter," and the other is plan old "transmitter."

On the t3 production tab:
When I say I want to build 1 hull of a specific ship, the qty of T3 components (E7:E17) do not match the qty per hull on the blueprint. Specifically, Metafullerene Plating (15 vs. 17), Nanowire Composites (20 vs 22), and Fullerene Intercalated Sheets (8 vs 9).

not sure if this has been pointed out but on the drop down menu for pirate ships when you select cruiser its just the t1 cruisers still, no pirate cruisers to be found.

Thanks Dedaf for creating a wonderful sheet like this.

However, i don't use it for a simple reason that I can only compare 20 items at a time. It seems to be locked. I like to compare prices for a number of items first before deciding what to manufacture and the only way I can get around is by using 10's of multiple copies which is too unwieldy to use.

Can you please add the ability to allow us to select the number of items instead of limiting it to just 20.

Just downloaded your spreadsheet as I am getting into doing more Manufacturing and Mining. However, I noticed that your mining tab calculates with the total laser yield and does not appear to take into account that UNITS of ore mined per laser cycle is truncated. So if I can mine 18.8 UNITS of Ore A, I actually only receive 18 units in my hold. This 'error' can be as high as 15% in some cases I have pesonally verified. If you are mining with strip lasers this is less of an issue, but BS miners really need to watch this as it can be more profitable to mine non-ABC ores due to yield per laser cycle.

As you are already caculating the volume per laser cycle, I would not think it would be much more work to add in the ore unit volume in the final value calcs you show.

Need to play around more with the manufacturing portion of your spreadsheet, but I am REALLY looking foward to cracking it open today after work.

Thank you so much for all your hard work.

If you are open to taking suggestions I have a couple.

1. Let us have two "own" prices columns.

This would allow us to check prices in multiple ways such as "How much would I pay if I bought it straight from the market, vs putting up buy orders."

2. Allow us to fool around with what we could do with theoretical skills on the mining table.

I was trying to see what benefit I would get for skilling up. Luckly I found Eve-hq does this pretty well, but it would have been nice before I knew that.

3. I always feel you need a number three if you are going to list.

Seconding this, hiding the source only suggests there is something to hide.

Not necessarily. This is the age old argument given by those opposed to our civil liberties - if you want to hide something them you must have done something wrong.

Sometimes people simply choose not to share information just as I don't expect my doctor to make my medical records public. And speaking as a software developer I don't always wish to give away all my code neither.

People here can be so ingracious.

Hey guys, thanks for all the feed back, i will try to answer to some of your questions and remarks.

Gamingloser1: I have fixed the Jump Portal Generator mineral use and i have corrected the drop down menu for pirate cruisers

elioath & Gamingloser1: about the T3 production, i fixed the components in version 12,7,5 so it should be showing correct unless its a different bug. But could you make sure u are using 12,7,5 or newer.

Nebula Terron: I might add the backup function for the data sheet at some point. But its a really big task to do, so i dont see it in the near future. But i do have it in mine for the cold winter nights.

Wu Bei: i can not tell you what that error means, just make sure u are using a office PRO version.

Captain Akachi: No matter how many i add it wont ever be enough, some even request 300. The thing is there are huge formulas behind the calculations, some of then are almost at the limit at what excel can handle in one cell. So its not so much i dont want to , but i would have to redo alot of the calculations in to more than one cell * x-amount of cells, its a nightmare to me :) So im sorry to disappoint you, if only it was so easy to just allow the sheet to expand then i would gladly do it, but its not.

Felstaff Celium: I will look in to why you are getting wrong amount of ore when using standard lasers. But i know for sure that the strip miners are showing correctly. So there most have been some change at some point that i missed, cause i remember a long time beck when i used lasers that it was correct. So i will have a look at it at some point.

Joelixxx: The "How to" manual is not complete cause i lost the original word file :( so i couldn't be bothered to redo it. i think it is possible to convert the pdf back to word, but none of my attempts has worked out very good, so i have kind of given up on it. (maybe someone here knows how to?)
Though your idea of adding data cores to the price isn't bad, i will see if i can add that somehow in a future version.

I have just uploaded the latest version 12,7,6

Thanks again for all your nice feedback. enjoy the new version

Great product BTW.
Would be nice if there was an option for it to auto add sell price (same way you can have it as average price, or sell price or own price as you have done with the minerals.
That way you dont have to add in a selling price manually if you are happy for the average price for example.
