I'm having a issue saving my updated data, I'm running Vista with Office 2003 with the office 2007 Compatabily pack installed. I can get my API info to save, but make me save as a Copy. But some reason It is only saving in Read-Mode only. so every time I want to update and save I need to make a new Copy

Hey just wanted to say great sheet.

One error I have noticed with the new T2 item production there is an issue I run into where it says blueprint not found when trying to build hybrid weapons below the SC rails, I have to run the recovery so that might have something to do with it.

Cheers

This is not an error, but an information to you that you need to select the SC BP below the 3 production lines, you need to do that, so the sheet will know what t2 material is needed for the production. the amount of T2 material is based on the component ME lvl, therefore you need to select the BP from the dropdown list's.

you are right, but when i take sell price it keep taking the highest sell price not the lowest, and this just sucks, i have to do everything manually

Yes, its an avg. of the sell orders, so there is not much i can do about it. If it very important to know the correct price, then you need to enter the prices manually.

It seems there is a Compatibly problem with office 2003 and 2007, so i changed the sheet back to 2003.
This should solve your problem.

I uploaded new release 12,4,9

Hi

When you are filling out the T2 Ships worksheet do you have to enter the number of sub-components to be made?

i.e. for a Curse it needs 30 Antimatter Reactor Units for a T2 BPC with ML of -4 and prof effic skill of 5

Do you need to enter 30 into the far left blue box which is further down the sheet next to the Antimatter Reactor blueprint?

No. Those blue fields are only if you want to build additional components, ex. for selling.

IS there something wrong with the components required to build a Rhea. It seems to take a lot more carbide than the other Jump Freighters?

Hmm yes, strange this problem hasnt been seen before now.
I have found the bug and corrected it in the newly uploaded file.
Thanks for you feedback.

Thanks for the quick update. Great work!

But it seems there is still something off. It appears that the total materials needed is still off. The Sylramic Fibers is only calculating based off the Sustained Shield Emitter, and is missing the amount needed for the Titanium Diborite Armor Plates. I think....

Also, I believe the the Titanium Carbide Calculation is off. I believe it should take around 8.4 million carbide units to make a Rhea from scratch (assuming Rhea bpc ME is -1, and all capital component blueprints ME are 15). Maybe the two issues are related? Maybe Titanium Diborite Plates aren't added to the calculation?

Your Spreadsheet Fu is strong. Cheers!

Next question:
On T2 Item production - When I choose T2 1600mm Steel plates (equipment/armor/Select plates - qty 10) it calculates the total minerals I need to build the t1 plates and R.A.M. However it says I need 53 Tungsten Carbide Armor Plates. Under that it says, "BluePrint not found" in red font, and the material needed to build those are not listed in to materials needed (tungsten carbide and Sylramic Fibers). I'm not sure if the spreadsheet queries your assets to see what BP's are present or not (I do own this BPO, in personal hangar). Is it safe to assume if the "Blueprint is found" then the materials will auto calculate?

Also, Covert Ops II and Improved Cloaking Device II has many N/A's in mineral required column. Build Price is #N/A too.

This truly is a great spreadsheet. I don't want to seem like I'm nit picking.

the reason for that is that you havent selected the T2 component BPo/c from the slots below. (E114 and down to E184)
To show the right material need, then you need to set the ME of the component BP, that is why you have to selecte it from the drop down menu's in cell E114 to E184.

I hope that helps you.

That did the trick for the t2 plates, but the minerals for the t2 cloaking still shows up as N/A. I noticed the T1 item is named "covert Ops Cloaking Device I" which technically doesn't exist in game. The t1 item should be a prototype cloaking device 1.

Note: the t1 worksheet for prototype cloaking device 1 works correctly.

The only flaw I have seen is in the mining tab, it will not calculate isk per hour of Mercoxit. I love this btw keep up the good work otherwise!

Edit: (any of the types of it)

In the T2 ship production tab...when it calculates what minerals and the cost for the T1 ship...Megacyte seems to be tied into the Zydrine amount for all the ships. This then throws off the total ammount of megacyte needed at the top.

Its set like this because it takes a Deep core mining laser to mine mercoxit, so it make no sense showing a value on mercoxit when mining with none deep core miner's
One think im unsure of, (Cause i havent mined for years) maybe you can help with this, can deep core mining lasers be fit only on skiff or can they be used with any one of the exhumers?

Dude, this saves me so much work - 4 different database sheets/apps i had been using for 2 years compressed into one spreadsheet! I love you, in that purely gamer-to-gamer manner!

So the thing i noticed is that the "Check Tower" button on the POS Production tab, in the Control Tower Calculator section, doesnt seem to calculate the fuel reamaning for towers in w-space, nor does it report their location correctly ("System: 0" instead of "System: Jita IV - Moon 4" for instance). It does, however, appear to report the amount of fuel in these towers. Its might be worth mentioning i only have Minmater large towers in there to check.

Any already known issue with thiss i didnt see while skimming over the past pages since it became current with Dominion?

And once again, you rock! wWant a free Hookbill bpc? Cool

I can not deny that there might be a problem with WH-space, because i have never tried to install a tower there.
The reason why it does not show remaining days of fuel could be because the tower location can not be found in my system import data, so it seems Wh-space might not be included in the normal star system database import.

Why it shows system name as 0 is also a mystery to me. Because if my sheet cant find the system in the database, then it should show it as “unknown system” so if it shows as 0 then that means that there is some kind of system import of wh-space anyway.

How to correct this I do not know, unless I go there and install a tower myself, but I have no plans of doing that in the near future.
The fastest correction might be to make the sheet calculate fuel use, even if it cant find the system name.

Anyway thanks for your feed back

Damn Dedaf, are you some kind of Excel Sensei? The spreadsheet is amazing! I am still playing with it trying to figure everything out, and I hope you dont mind if I point out something I have trouble with. I am running Vista w Excel2007, and have added your spreadsheet to trust folder.(If you have not encountered similar errors, I will try to figure out if my system is at fault)

1. On the newest version of the spreadsheet, upon opening the file I get the error msg saying that "Excel encountered an error and had to remove some formatting to avoid corrupting the workbook. Please recheck your formatting carefully" The error msg disappears once I save and reopen the file. Oddly, that error is not reported in your 12,4,8 version.
2. On the T2 Items tab, once Improved Cloaking Device II is selected, the build price and the volume values come as N/A.

I am not criticizing or complaining, its more like a constructive comment. :) Despite those 2 issues I have the spreadsheet is amazing, tx for putting time into it.

I think that error could come from me using a 2003 version to correct the last reported error, you should not see this problem in this newly uploaded version.
I have also corrected T1 item needed to build Improved Cloaking Device II

So i hope this has solved all the problems you have seen.

The new version is 12,5,1

I may be missing something, but for some reason build costs for Capital Components are off, and therefore the build costs for my Carriers are off. I've manually set the prices in my spreadsheet (accurate to my best knowledge), your spreadsheet, and EveHQ. My spreadsheet and EveHQ are nearly in perfect sync, but for some reason yours is off a bit. I love yours, so if you could help me figured out what I'm missing (because I'm sure it's an error on my part), I'd be eternally grateful.

I believe the difference you see is because the tool EveHQ does not calculate the buy price of the component BP copy.
You have set the Armor Blueprint as a copy with 5 runs. when you do that, then my tool will calculate the BPc price in to the build price of the component.(because the BP copy is lost) So because you have the price of the print set to 3.200.000isk and 5 runs then the build price will be "mineral Price" + "BPc price/5" in your case 3,2m/5= 640k isk. if you add 640.000 to the EveHQ price then they are very close.

If you look at your Carrier production, they you have a red value under your total build price, that is called blueprint copy price, that is the price you spen on buying the BP copies, so if you buy original component blueprints then that price will drop, and you make more profit :)

I hope that explains it for you.

Ah ha, that's it! I wasn't used to BPCs being included in the cost (I did that myself, lol). I've changed what BPCs I have in originals and the calculations are correct :) Thanks a ton, I love this spreadsheet! /nerdgasm
