So, it's not that my skills go away, I have the correct API and I get my skills, the numbers are correct but all the skill names become "skill"

well then you have no problem, it normal because skill names are not provided by the API.

Very nice project Dedaf :)

I just started looking at it and it is all very nice and straight forward.

I was wondering if there is a way to unlock the columns so that I can change the widths of them? The T1 production screen hangs off the edge and it is a little irritating to scroll all the time.

I love this sheet. My corp mates have started calling me Mr. Spread sheet because I constantly say Let me check my spread sheet. Well done. I would request a link between the required minerals on the T1 production sheet and the needed materials on the ore calculator. Or let me copy from porduction sheet to the ore calcualtor sheet. At any rate I still love the sheet and will continue to use it.

It seems I found a rounding bug present in the T2 sheet in the latest version (.7). Not sure if its already lurking there since the dawn of time, anyway.
You can reproduce it by trying to built two Mackinaws with ME -4 and Production Efficiency V. You will notice odd numbers of needed components when there should be actually only even numbers when trying to produce something x2.

For instance the numbers for 1 item should be like:

90
90
113
150
188
188
188
12

Now if you double the "to be built" Macks to two, you end up with these numbers:

180
180
225
300
375
375
375
24

if you dont have the needed Skill for the Parts at Level IV you get the message:

"You Need VI:" in front of the skill. Think they havent patched anything in yet beyond Level V :-)

As you have protected most of the sheets with a password I have to ask you to give some of the Columns a bit more space, or else the numbers of some columns only gets displayed in ######## or you have to shrink to sheet to something like 70% of the original size so the numbers can be seen.

Great spreadsheet, I know this had to take awhile to get together and it is one of my most used tools over the last few weeks I have had it!

I only really use the T1 and Rig production tabs right now but that is all I really need. I too was wondering if you can make the columns larger as it seems a 3 digit number cannot be displayed in the T1 and rig sheets where it shows how much I can build/want to build/can build.

I will try to correct the things you ask for, like the length of the columns.

About the t2 production.
Its a rounding issue, before it was better to build multiple items at one time because the rounding was done on the whole lot, that is why you see a difference in building 1 and 2, because if a number ends on 1,5 it will be rounded to 2 but if you build 2 items at one time its 1,5*2 therefore the result becomes 3 and not 4.
In your case 113 does not become 226 but 225.
Isnt it like this anymore? Have you checked what you actually use for building 2 in game?

In the T2 sheet,

I have to build 563 Scalar Capacitor Unit (for one Basilisk ME-4). My Scalar Capacitor Unit BPO is ME0. In the block of Missing Components, it shows missing 563 SCU correctly. In the block of Missing Materials it shows missing 9281 Fullerides, when it should be 9571.

Now with my very first T3 production sheet, its still a bit basic, but it gives a good idea of the build price of the new cruisers. Since i havent build any T3 cruiser yet, then im not sure if its 100% correct.

Unfortunately i do not have a complete list of Tech2 blueprints. Therefore you will have to enter the type of material needed and the amount of material manually.
When doing so, it is important NOT to use the amount that the in game BluePrint shows, but find the item in the database to get the base material amount. Other vice then ME calculation will be wrong. EVE-onlines item database was changed recently, and since then its not really useful for this type of information, So I suggest you use www.battleclinic.com, here is the link to the blueprint database.

Maybe I'm missing something, but as far as I see it your T3 gas calculations seem wrong, example for the Fulleroferrocene:
One hull (without subsystems) will need 845 Fulleroferrocene, one reaction for this would be 1000 trit, 200 C50, 100 C540 and will output 1000 units of Fulleroferrocene, your sheet seems to calculate 845 reactions needed for one hull, instead of just one to reach the needed 845 Fulleroferrocene.

the right row matirials you need is Cadmium Caesium and in you chats it takes
Caesium AND Chromium

Im still with this problem and i made one test.
First i opening your work in the excel 2007 (this is the problem).
If i use vlookup function in the excel 2007 without ending FALSE (Exact match) then default value is True what mean (Approximate match).
Because of that in some case value taken from the wrong row.

=VLOOKUP(A8, G2:L10, 3, FALSE)<--- only right metod for excel 2007

I keep getting an error message whne i startup V11. the message is:

"Excel encountered an error and had to remove some formatting to avoid corrupting the workbook. Please re-check your formatting carefully."

Then i get:

"This workbook has lost its VBA project, ActiveX controls and any other programmability-related features."

if it helps the recovery log is:

I checked it a bit, and yes you are right, i didnt include the reaction in the calculation.
I have corrected it and will upload a new version soon.

I have done it only ones when i build it, i wont waist me time checking trough thousands of BP to see if they are correct. So if you see that there is a problem with some of the BP, then let me know which ones and ill try to correct.

I dont see this error in any of my office version, but i have added the False function to the formula, so you shouldt see the problem in the next version.

If you are using Office, then i think its cause your macro security is too high, it should be set to no more than medium.

I believe your problem is the same as Phantom's, your macro security is too high, so the macros are removed from the sheet. But could also be that you are not using Microsoft Office 2003-2008 but OpenOffice, which dont support this kind of macros.

Hi again. this still doesn't work with 2 of my characters (they both have spaces in their names). One of my characters does work though (has no spaces in name). With the characters that have spaces in their names, th spreadsheet updates something, but the Mining tab shows no name in the character box, It does however sho the time I tried to update it. Sometimes I get the error quoted and Excel just freezes up and I have to kill it using the task manager.

Hmm i just done some tests, and yes i see your problem, though my excel dont crash, it just dont import the skills.

ok i found the problem, unfortunatly i cant fix it, because it seems to be a problem with the API it self.

You can check it out yourself this way

first get your character ID's

here you check your skills, if you use the number of the character with the name which contain a space, then you will see it fails

When your character have a space in the name, then you will get this error from the API server.

I just found out before coming back here that Evemon doesn't work with that character any more either. Although for this character Evemon works fine. Will have to look into it some more later.
