It is not possible to select which region to import price information from, the auto update is using information from all empire regions. If you want specific price information you will have to enter them yourself in the blue fields of the Data sheet. |

I noted this morning that the hosting server were doing updates, so it was closed for some hours. But it seems to be working again now. |

Looks like a really great job. I can get my API entered no problems. On the T1 Production page after I click on Backup the popup appears to ask me to proceed as stated in the user manual, however on proceeding I get an error "Runtime error 75. Path/File access error"
I don't know much about Excel, I'm running 2007, just a pity I can't get it to work. Hopefully I'll figure something out. |

You get that error because the Sheet is not able to write to your C:\ Maybe your C:\ is writ protected or maybe its a DVD/CD-rom drive? or maybe its some other rights that prevent the Sheet from accessing your C:\ drive. |

First off - great tool, been using it for a while. Think i've found a bug in the POS "Total Fuel Needed Calculator". For Liquid Ozone & Heavy Water the 'Days of Fuel in stock' seems to be giving only about 25% of the actual figure. It seems to be wrong on the imported calculation of 'Days:Hours' as well. I think your problem is that you have not set the correct Power and CPU use of the towers. (For L towers cell D54 & D55) The Total fuel in stock is calculated from the tower's Power/CPU use, so if you have only set power use to 1mill and the tower have a Max power output of 4mill, then your total fuel needed will only be 25%. I think that might be your problem. For the imported Liquid Ozone and Heavy Water its a different matter, because it is only possible to import the fuel inside the tower, it is not possible in anyway (lag of API information) to import the actual tower CPU/Power use, therefore it is not possible to calculate the correct fuel consumptions for those too fuel types, I have then done the calculations on a 100% CPU & Power use, to make sure the tower don’t run out of fuel without you knowing, its better to have a early warning than to find all your equipment offline. i hope that clears it out. thanks |

Hi, i can not tell what your problem is from only the number. i dont know if you use openoffice, or what version of excel you use. I can only say that Openoffice dont support macro import, and for it to work in excel then you need atleast 2003 and a PRO edition. |

I do have the same issue. Most likely Vista is blocking access, preventing a backup and therefore a price update. Is there a way to change the path for the backup file? |

My first answer would have been, No it is not possible. But then i thought, well why not try it. So now my answer is yes it is possible try out this new version that I just uploaded. New version: 10.9.6 Backup possibility for Rig and Capital production, and the option to select file save folder.Edit: would be nice if you can confirm that it works for you in vista. thanks |

Works fine now. Thanks a lot! Hugs & Kisses! Edit:Argh. No it does not. :( Backing up works fine, the file is created. However, updating the prices online seems to fail due to the reference to drive C: in the macros. Looks like it is not updated to the newly selected backup drive. :( |

Edited by: Dedaf on 28/01/2009 08:01:40 I think the problem might be somewhere else in your case, because price update is not done to a file. it is imported directly from the internet to the DATA sheet. What i could imagine happening is that you are click the "Update everything" this function tries to updates every macro in the sheet, it also tries to import the backup files(which btw always fails with that command, for security reasons).
The issue you see is properly because the last import (done by me) was done from the C:\ so the macros remembers this last location. Since this is the first time you use this sheet and therefore dont have the backup files yet, then you can solve that problem by simply clicking Backup and then Import in the T1, Rig and capital production sheets, this should correct your macro. In the future it will be corrected as soon as you import your files to the new sheet.

You were right. After backups of T1, Rig and Capital production sheets and immediately restoring them, I encountered no more error message when updating everything. Seems to work now. Thanks a lot for your help!

Love this "little" sheet but I do have one question regarding reactions.
With those newly added unrefined reactions, have you ever thought of implementind them into the pos production sheet?

That is not a bad idea, i will try to look in to how it works and see what i can come up with. Thanks Dedaf |

Edited by: CrazyEmperor on 14/02/2009 23:02:54 Hi Dedaf, first i want to say thanks for a nice tool.
I noticed that under the capital production part, it shows some division/0 for build prices on some ships/capital modules. It isn't in the 10,9,5 version as far as I can see, only on the new 10,9,6.
I'm using OpenOffice, if that helps you. |

This is an amazing resource. Thank you very much for sharing all your hard work :) Here comes the inevitable questions lol In the T1 production section How you change the number of units per batch? In the build price does it count the factory cost per item? Does it count the cost of the BPO? If so for how many runs?

First of all thanks, im glad you like the tool answers: You can not change the "units per batch" they are updated together with the BP that you select. If they are wrong, then let me know which BP and what you think the number should be, then i will check it and correct for future version. Build price does not count factory cost, and it does not count BPo price, because you can always sell the BPo to atleast the same price as you bought it, so its not an expense, like with the coppies. i hope that clears it up a bit. Hi Dedaf, great product. When trying to unprotect the T1 sheet in 10,9,6 I'm prompted for a password. That's new behavior; did I miss the password noted somewhere? Thanks |

There are no like from Jump freighter production sheet to the POS manager sheet, so it is not possible to do what you are asking, but a good idea, ill try to think of a way maybe to get that in. You do not need to unprotect the sheet anymore. The restore funktion does it automatic now, so its easier for everyone. So all you need is to have the file, and then click restore. |

Hi Dedaf,
great tool, thx.
But if I'll try to calculate mining-crystals, it is calculating in 100-batch. For that the build-price is too low. |
