I have Scientific Networking level 2 which should allow starting research jobs up to 5jumps away. I am trying to use our POS's mobile lab. However I cannot start a job from 3 jumps away in a NPC station. What am I missing? Why isn't this working.

All the Details...
1. Our POS is in low sec.
2. I am in high sec 3 jumps away.
3. I do have the skill the level 2.
4. The NPC station does have a Science Lab.

Thanks,

If same region: No clue.

It doesn't allow inter-region management, even if you're right on the border.

Hope that's it.

Your blueprint needs to be in an office rented by your corporation in a station in the same system as the starbase.

The office rent part I can see being an issue. But the purpose of training beyond level 1 is to expand that range right? The description says level 2 expands range to 5jumps.

The range the skill expands is the distance from you to the blueprint (provided you're in the same region). The blueprint always has to be in the same system as the starbase, even if you're not. It's the same as all the other remote management skills.

Essentially, the blueprint is in one location, while the job slot is in another.

It's like your boss who's on holiday, calling you up at home to do some paperwork, when the paperwork is at the office.
