Afaik you cannot import XML files, you need to use the new API thingy.
Hey thanks, but how do I do the api thingy? |

Thanks for making this tool. One thing I would like to say is that I don't think color depth is the problem with corrupted icons, at least not for me. I am running win 2k pro, it doesn't matter if I am at 16bit, or 32 bit, the icons have some weird transparency weirdness going on. Even if I reboot after I change the color depth. My video card is geforce 6600 gt, so could it possibly be the combo of win2k and an geforce card. Here is a pic: icon problem pic |

TBH that is exactly how the icons look on my pc in explorer, thumbnail view.. but they're OK in the program SEE?Could the issue be screen resolution? or maybe the icons are forced to display a bigger rez than they were meant to? |

Originally by: Winterblink Hello there. This tool rocks, but I found an issue for those who run dual monitors.
Bug: EFT does not draw its window again after you've dragged it off to a secondary monitor.
Reproduction: Run EFT. Drag window to second monitor. Close EFT. Run EFT. No window shows, program will appear in start menu (right click to close).
Workaround: Open config.ini in the folder where you installed EFT. Change the values for Main_x and Main_y to 100. This puts the upper left corner of the window 100 pixels from the top and 100 pixels from the left side of the primary adapter.
Notes: I run my desktop with Nvidia's drivers set to Dualview mode.
This was JUST the answer to the problem I was looking for. Thanks Winterblink (love the comics btw ) for figuring it out for the masses. Also, love the program Gripen. I will certainly be using it much more then Quikfit. I have to tell you, it's the pritty pictures of the turrets and modules that got my attention. Really helps figuring out what to add and to figure out what the moduals are other then some of the interesting names they put on it. |

Great tool. Thanks very much.
My only gripe is the multi-doc interface (MDI) - just open the windows outside of the main window. Most of the newer windows applications have moved away from the 'old-style' MDI interface (e.g. Office etc). Something like the way evemon works, open a separate window for the fitting screen, allow multiple windows to be opened, that way each appear on the taskbar and can also be minimized, enlarged etc. Anyway, it's free so just take this as constructive critism :)

great tool, i especially like the shortcuts. however, i would like to see "insert" place the mod directly on the ship. i'm to lazy to drag i also saw a bug when dragging a mod over the fitting window, it would leave "edges". dragging the fitting window under the mod window partially solves it. (sounds like the redraw bug mentioned earlyer) |

Great program. If you ever add more stuffs, one thing I'd personally like to see is a excel-type field next to every mod you're fitting where you could input the price, and it could total it at the bottom. Maybe that could be saved with every different setup, I don't think it should apply to all setups of all time :p It would be nice to be able to guess how much this monster I just fitted up would cost without having to bring out the calculator. Anyways, cheers for the program. |

Great work. Loads fast with a clean and simple interface. Easily beats the slow loading, cluttered interface Quickfit. Only thing I would recommend is documentation on the features of your program for people who can't figure out how to use them. |

Hope it will be possible to make the ship fitting window stay at the size you drag it to, its a bit annoying for my part that it keeps resetting itself.
Anyway, i've found a bug i think, its about the drone bays, if you put 5 drones for example, and close the program and open it again and select the same ship which you gave 5 drones, but now it will have 10 drones. It seems like it doubles itself on reloading the program or something. Hope this can be fixed. |

Regarding this, I dont think it remembers my drones at all after reboot Weird... |

Hmm, you are saying something there, i think there is a few times where i go "didn't i put drones in this setup?" So you may have right. So to the author of this program, look into the drone thingy please =) |

Quoting the author's expanation (third post in this topic): Quote:
Defence and effective HP are terms that really need to be explained. Effective HP is your hitpoints with resistances taken into account. Defence is amount of DPS setup can tank. Bottom value is your tanking efficiency when you run your booster\repairer on autorepeat and upper value is your tanking efficiency when you turn on your booster\repairer from time to time to not allow your capacitor to fall below peek recharge point.

It may be me but I don't think
1) The armor compensation skills seem to be working (not for my eanmII and anpII anyway) 2) The recon skills bonus is affecting the DPS of drones in the pilgrim |

The bonus to drone damage on the Pilgrim comes from Amarr Cruiser (which is required at V to fly the ship) not from the Recon Ships skill. |

This still doesn't quite make sense. I have two ship setups which I'm playing with. One is an absolution and one is a nighthawk. The defense values are 394 and 343 respectively. Which seems to indicate the abso setup will tank better, however, the tooltip information when you hover over the defense values indicates For the abso: 237, 621, 861, 316 For the nighthawk: 146, 694, 1655!, 364 How are the 'summary' defense values calculated from the above? It doesn't appear to be an average. I would also think the nighthawk value should be higher than the abso given the huge difference in kinetic dps (all other resists are quite close). Also, I find it hard to believe the kin dps different between the two setups (861 compared to 1655!) given similar resists (91 and 94 respectively - bear in mind one is armor other is shield). Basically what I'm asking is details on how these values are being calculated. |

Edited by: Twarda Sztuka on 16/07/2007 07:23:14 Very well done. I really like this application and I think you did tremendous job. Easy to use, nice interface, etc. Now issues:
1) There are modules that have limits of how much of them you can fit. As an example using your application you can install more than one bomb launcher. In eve it is impossible.
2) I have the same issue as Torgor ("I keep running into an issue where the far right hand side of my ship dispaly is cut off. I can't see anything beyond the Explosive resist Icon. It is also clipping the words down at the bottom a little bit.". It looks exactly as screenshot posted by Foxon (his screenshot http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb237/Darsii/shipfit.jpg). I didn't try it on other PCs but it might have something to do with widescreen monitor ratio.

Wow, deeply impressed by your program. Some small peeves but nothing even remotely major.
I especially love to see the effects of how the different skills effect the ships stats when you change them in the character editor. Like Advanced Weapon upgrades and shield upgrades etc.

If I have any feature suggestion at all, it's only that I would like to be able to click on any module and say "exclude from cap calculation" - I don't keep my MWD on at all times. |
