OK, when I go to the webpage for v2.6 (the one listed on the first thread in this topic), it directs me to one of these sites with all sorts of pop-up, ads and what-not. When I allowed the pop-ups so I could download the file, my AVG anti-virus advised that two virus were trying to install themselves on my computer Evil or Very Mad. Now, I understand the need to get some revenue for this great tool but how about moving it from this "****-like" site and getting donations from the community? I for one would be pleased to donate to avoid these types of sites.

That site you're referring to is just a free file-sharing service - the ad revenue presumably goes towards operational expenses (e.g., bandwidth), and is not distributed to users of the free service in any way, shape, or form. FYI, I figured that out after spending about 10 seconds reading their FAQ.

As for the "infected" pop-up ads - for one thing, I'm able to download the file without disabling my pop-up blocker (using Firefox), so I'm not sure why you felt it was necessary to do so (IE?). Additionally, that "virus" you're referring to is probably nothing more than a tracking cookie, or some other non-malicious and/or non-destructive form of spyware. Not all AVG warnings are indicative of a virus.

Finally, do you understand what "mirror" means in a file-sharing context? A "mirror" is just another place to download the same file. If you look back to the original post, there are two "mirrors" listed for EFT 2.6. So you actually have two additional sites to choose from, for a grand total of three.

Well yes, I been a user of the internet since DARPA :) I did eventually choose a mirror and was able to download without any AVG warnings at all. I need to pay more attention when I'm downloading things.

Which link do you click to download EFT? What are the mirrors? I clicked EFT version 2.6 and it sent me to this site, depositfiles.com is that where you download EFT?...

I chose one of the mirror sites and it worked fine. Suggest that the first link be avoided as it is very pop-up intensive. Cheers

A feature I would find really useful: search by slot and pg / cpu requirements. So if I have eg a high slot, 10 power and 5 cpu left over, I can find an item to fit in it :3

Since we are talking about features, here's some suggestions:
- Module info showing which slot it will occupy before you try to fit it
- On sht ship fitting screen, an indication of which slot is low, med or high
- An undo button!!
- Great idea above, would like to be able to find all possible fittings for a particular slot given CPU and Power availability. Or, the ability just to see what would fit in any given slot if there were no restrictions because we all like to dream Wink

Great tool by the way, has saved me much time and ISK.

Bug report
eft version 2.7 (but also existed in v2.6)

Command ship warfare link module bonuses are not always being applied to capital ships via gang bonuses.

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Create Damnation setup with 'All Level V' character and all 3 armored warfare links active
2) Put ship in step 1 as squad commander in Gang Bonus section of any cap ship setup
3) The passive defense warfare link (armor resists %) is correctly applied
4) The Damage Control (less cap needed) and Rapid Repair (lower duration) are correctly applied to Capital Remote Armor Reps but not to the Capital Armor Rep

Repeat with Vulture and siege links (shield) and neither the Capital Shield Reps or Capital Shield Transporters are receiving the bonuses. The passive shield bonuses are correctly applied.

Excellent tool. Thanks.

Thanks for the update!

One bug though, empty/offline module slots reduce the chance for heat damage for the entire ship, not just the same rack. Pretty sure this is what Tuxford says in that heat video (hard as hell to understand) and I've tested it with consistent results.

Figured I'd make a "small" feature request, could you add some sort of function for sorting the different setups within each ship? Would make it easier to compare setups of the same type if you could keep them right after eachother in the drop down menu.

Nice update.

However, the mirrors you are using are horrible, pop-up banner filled pieces of crap, basically.

May I suggest you use www.fileducky.com? Fileducky will upload the file to multiple filesharing-sites at once.

The second mirror is to eve-files, which is the one I always use. No issues there so far.

Just wanted to say thanks for yet another update. Keep up the good work. Wink

In 2.7, I'm still getting too much speed on Destroyers with afterburners. EFT claims 412m/s in-game it's 376 on a Catalyst.
Also, when I duplicate a setup (from the dropdown box) some kind of bug occurs that either crashes EFT or hides the new setup from view, on restart it works again.

Thanks for making this tool available to us all Gripen, ive used it now for several versions and it really clarifies some of the difficult to imagine stacking penalties and nuances of eve. Ive read the FAQ and find no details on how to use the dps graphs, i assume they also provide %chance to hit? Anyone who has succesfully used this could you please provide some basic instruction. Otherwise, many thanks for the hours that must have gone into this tool Very Happy

Well, it is not offlining as it works in game, it mostly sort of temporary removal of the module or hide it from calculations. You know that in game, some modules has passive modifiers which affecting the ship stats even if module offlined. Cloaking device for example.

YAY new version :-)

Bug report:

I was trying to fit a Claw with an AC setup, the 200mm small AC II (and any small t2 ACs) have broken skill reqs. They take Small projectile IV and autocannon spec I and show as green, but ingame the need Small projectile V.

Seems like any skill requirements after secondary are ignored by EFT.

(maybe this is alreay a known bug)

Get any English with you?

It was scanned with 35 different virus scanners at www.virustotal.com. It's no false alarm.
Google InfoStealer and read up on this trojan yourself. Get some brain with you.

This guy should be banned.

The devs know account hacking is on the rise. They think it's from an ISK website. It's probably this program.
