Ok, i run some tests and calculations with other software (eve HQ for example). Now i can confirm, that EFT has a problem with capacitor calculation!!!

After unfitting all modules and destroying my tech I CCC rig i saw the following situation: ingame i have a recharge rate of 29.92 GJ/s, but according to EFT it should be at 31.9 GJ/s in my Legion. And yes, im really runnig out of cap after something like 13 minutes in EvE (EFT shows me, that i am capstable at 41%)

I have ingame AND in EFT:
1. Legion
2. Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Subsystem (Amarr Engineering Systems LvL 4 !!!)
3. no capacitor rigs
4. no modules
5. all engineering skills at lvl 5
6. CC8 implant in slot 8 (this point seems to be ok in EFT, it shows me 3052 capacitor and i have 3051 ingame)
7. Capacitor calculation difference between EvE and EFT

I hope it is enough information to find the bug and thank you for a great software :-)

My mods list used to list mods in meta order but it mysteriously stopped doing that. I would love it to list in meta order like it used to. How can I do this?

Please ignore my last message... It seems I am incapable of updating EFT without making a mess of it Confused

All fixed now

It seems that there are several ships that are not showing correctly in the EFT.

So far i have had issues with both the Phantasm frigate and the Imperial Navy Slicer frigate. Both showing to be stable in the tool but not stable when build ingame.

Maybe more of those "uncommon" ships do this?

Now, where are my 500mil isk reward for finding a bug?

Not a complaint or bug but an idea for a new feature. Of course it may have already come up in this thread - I haven't read it all!

The dps v range graph is good, particularly when comparing different ships or fittings. But it doesn't tell you time to kill a tgt. So my idea is a "time to kill" v range graph. Identical to the dps graph except the y axis is time to kill.

I am not a programmer (don't even work in IT) but it would appear to get this approximately correct would be fairly easy using an average number for shield regen/boost etc, which would be good enough. To get it very accurate I assume would be far more difficult and largely unnecessary.

To make this even more useful (for PvE) the NPC ships would need to be added to the DB.

I run some new tests today and foud out, that EFT was not realyzing, that my subsystem engineering skill was at lvl 4, in other words, there was no difference between lvl4 and lvl5. After deleting and reimporting all my characters via API the defference between lvl 4 and lvl 5 was reenabled, but there is still a difference of over 60 seconds between EFT and EvE and my Nightmare / Legion are still runnig ouf of cap being stable in EFT

Any idea when the named items and faction ships will be updated? For example, the Rattlesnake still shows 125 m3 drone bay.

I dunno, maybe when you update your EFT? See the OP to get your latest version, including obviously all the updates that already updated the rattlesnake, but also all the new limited ships and stuff, it's pretty kewl..

First i want to Thank you, Love EFT and use it all the time.

But would like to know if their are any plans to expand on the implants/boosters->descriptions within [parameters] also its cause and effects under->[projected effects]. I'm curious if this was not finished because it looks like it was started?

If at all possible could you have it highlight the specific effect within the ships parameters-> ie..hit points//Defence//Capacitor//Firepower//Targeting//Mobility//
and any changes within the specific modules..

Seems like the change is so slight i cant even see it..and would have a huge effect on my willingness to spend a gross amount of isk for something that only has an effect of 0.001%

Thanks!

Edit1 - plus i do not think EFT is adding up the bonuses to implants and or giving the correct amount to Ship Parameters correctly ...for example ie 2% bonus to shields should be 2% added to or is it 2% of the total shield number its all very unclear and lack of info makes it very hard to see what is going on

I'm not sure if you were aware of this but I was looking to fit out a caldari navy hookbill, and to my surprise I realized that EFT had inaccurate fittings and bonus ship attributes. Here's the accurate attributes.

Caldari Frigate Skill Bonus:
10% bonus to missile velocity
20% bonus kinetic missile damage
10% bonus to EM, Explosive, and Thermal missile damage per level.

Capacitor:
Capacity - 281
Recharge time - 187.50s (whatever that figures out to, I think it's 1.49867 per second)

Targeting:
Max Locked Targets - 4

Propulsion:
Max Velocity - 360

CPU - 165

Low Slots - 2
Medium Slots - 5
High Slots - 3
Turret Slots - 0
Launcher Slots - 3

FYI your current hosting site includes something that took my logins and passwords to eve and my email account and just spammed CCP support and a bunch of people i haven't talked to in years.

How do I confirm it was your hosting site? Brand new notebook with only EVE installed + a few games from Direct 2 Drive. Downloaded EFT and about 15 minuets later I got 6 confirmation emails thinking me for filing a petition and kickback email notifications for email address that no longer exist.

Guess thats what I get for not installing anti malware **** on here first before DL'n anyhting.

Still a dedicated EFT user though lol

Any chance you could add in another calculation for capacitor recharge? Specifically, how long the current set up takes to recharge from 35% to 72% cap in seconds.

You could hide it behind the current capacitor +/- numbers in the same manner that you do for the extra sensor booster calculations.

Missing from the modules list is:

Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System

CPU: 24 tf
PG: 1
RoF: +12.5%
Missile damage bonus: 12.5%
Meta 12

I could not fit another BCS II on my Drake with its huge 40 tf CPU requirement.

EFT is showing I can activate 5x Gas Harvester I with skill level 4 ie 1 more than skill level.

But in game I can only activate 4 of them. ie same number as skill level

Cheers.

Would like to see a re-sizebale ship browser window in the next version,
When you can fly all 4 races it takes a while to scroll through on that tiny box :P
Otherwise great program, loving it:)

What do you think is more likely: that this module is missing, or that you just can't find it?

No, There are a lot of modules missing in EFT. I can find them in Evemon and EveHQ.

Name them.
Edit: just to be clear, the CN BCS is not missing. It is certainly one of the most-used faction modules and there's plenty of EFT setups posted every day with 3-4 of them. Again, don't you think someone might have noticed if they were missing? Stop blaming developers for your lack of knowledge/reading ability/intelligence.

There isn't a single missing module. First, use the search in EFT and second, use the Market / Faction / Deadspace / Officer buttons that are on the bottom of fitting panel to find the rest of them. As for some reason, search only searches from the type you currently have active instead of all of them. So using search, you still need to check the correct item type from bottom list.
But the items are there, all of them

Thanks for pointing out the faction button (WTB eyes). It would be good to include the faction modules in the search result.

The faction/deadspace/officer modules !!! Wink I found it strange that modules were missing, since the Eve developer DB was used... (still WTB eyes :p)

There is some stuff not showing, like certain faction ammo and such, but that's just because the stats are identical to one of the types that is shown. I haven't noticed this with modules, but I wouldn't be surprised/shocked/care if it happened.

EFT ftw (btw I only get it from eve-files, the other hosts I don't trust)

Been discussed here a few times. It's a bug that affects at least me (and some others earlier in this thread) that when you shut down Windows with EFT running, Windows closes EFT down and all ship setups you've made in that session get lost. However, when you shut EFT manually down before Windows, then all setups get saved just fine. Happens to me with both XP x86 and W7 x64.
