IMO, the only tech II frig's worth flying are Inties, and now stealth bombers...

A Intie gang is the most annoying pain in the arse for any FC to deal with...The nubs all want to know why 10 Interceptors can fly around your constelation with minimal loses and the FC cant figure out how to kill them.....A fleet of AF's would be dead at the first gate camp....

Other then the hawk for anti interceptor work, AF's are a pos imo.....

ishkur pwnz, I have had no problems engaging cruisers (within reason) and even had a few stabs at some BCs (with some successes too, killed 2 harbingers)

harpy, great sniper support takign out inties and suchlike trying to get scrams on sniper BS, good anti-tackler too

hawk, grat anti tackler, precision lights + hawk = 30-40km radius around where an inty cannot fly

enyo, good DPS, good tank

ishkur, do i need to explain?

wolf, good dps, can shoot from outside web range, resistance holes DO need to be filled though

jaguar, mini-vagabond, need i say more?

retribution, great anti-tackler ship in a gang, tough and good dps with pretty effective range

vengeance, all round tis ok as a tackler/anti-tackler

all AF are good at filling certain roles.

Actually if your attacking a crusier, the number of high damage and wrecking shots you get levels out the DPS (weapon sig radius compared to the targets radius).

Sorry, but this is complete and utter bull****. Do research how hit quality is calculated.

How old is your spread sheet? Pre-Rev i would have agree'd, but since the nano nerf (which goes deeper than just the modules) - It has been alot easier to hit target with a larger sig radius. I used to think ceptors with arties on them where a waist of time, but now im getting consistent hits (80%+) with long range weapons even while microwarping against cruiser sized target or larger. If i try the same thing against a frig sized target i miss ALOT more. I'll reinstall sisi and ill show you what i mean - gimme a shout and we'll experiment :)

P.s.
No need to get violent - im not claming a crow can take out a vaga ;)

I've heard that the tracking equation was weighted a lot more towards signature radius (target's sig vs gun's sig resolution) and that this is the reason you're getting all these hits

lemme put it simply, a crusader no longer needs careful piloting to hit an enemy inty with its beams... it'll pretty much hit anything you orbit, providing the target uses a MWD, etc

Poor damage output, decent for taking out tacklers at long range if you don't have any other anti-inty support.

Out-damaged by a Caracal, for a fraction of the cost. Caracal + 5x T2 assaults >>> Hawk + 4x T2 standards.

Moderate damage output, poor tank, lacks mid slots for web/mwd/scram. Brilliant idea: make a blaster boat that has to get into range of nos and webs, then give it the weakest cap.

More expensive than a Vexor, lower damage, weaker tank.

Lacks mid slots, major resist holes, more expensive than a Rupture and not really any better.

Correct for once... one of the few decent AFs, since it's fast enough to actually fly like a frigate.

One mid slot. Need I say more?

Split weapon layout, horrible damage, poor bonuses. But what do you expect from a Khanid ship?

Unfortunately, in most cases, that role is "sell on market, buy a cruiser or three".
