Edited #53 to include details, added a few speculation.
See if that still happends with "apply for ships only" checked/unchecked Wink

32. corp members UNABLE to access corp (?POS only?) hangars unless they have the director/CEO role. nice bug, two thumbs up ! NOTE: apparently, they need "take from hangar #1" role regardless of hangar they WANT to take FROM. No idea what the status on this bug is.

This is my HUGE issue

Yours, and almost any larger corps' that operates at least one POS and can't afford to have full rights for each member or reorganize hangar rights.

Feedback required on all the things on the list FIXED in Rev 2.0.1
No, not those listed in the patchnotes... ACTUAL fixes, the extent of the fix, etc.

So, what now, you mean to tell me none of the items on the list were actually fixed in Rev 2.0.1 ?!?

Well...

6. can get then "*soon to be fixed* (supposedly)" tag (or better: has been noted, might get fixed eventually). See Tuxs post here.

Updated status in OPs.
But meh, "promised to get fixed eventually" is hardly "fixed in rev 2.0.1" Twisted Evil

3. Journal and wallet wont horizontally resize.

False statement. Never have such issue. (And just checked it now - no problem)

Quote:
4. corp window wont vertically resize.

Resolved.

Quote:
16. the Micro$oft-mandated Vista compliance cache/settings/whatever fiasco. Too much annoyance to list in here as to how it should have been done. Patchnotes suggestion on a semi-fix also have a typo (the " location)

Easy as 1-2-3.
cache, Display, Audio settings, window positions and sizes:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settigs\Application Data\CCP\EVE

Overview settings/presets, container sorting and look, EVE preferences (GENERAL tab, SHORTCUTS tab, LANGUAGE tab):
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\CCP\EVE

Quote:
22. building on whinereason#16, Vista users can't even properly play now anyway, there's a problem with the cache/setting folder being "read-only" for (some of) them, or at least settings files becoming corrupted, no idea, as said, I don't have Vista

It should be local problem with filesystem rights I guess.

Tested in situation:
Hangar: located at
Query: 1&3
Take: 3

All works fine. Resolved? Anyone can confirm?

36. Reduction in bio size to (???) characters. Why ? Was space on the server getting THAT tight ?

Bug in EVE protocol causing client lags, IIRC.
I lost A TON of useful info that way :(

41. OLD: warp to zero ? You mean "warp randomly around 0m, but sometimes as far as 6+km away. Annoyed people landing in a freighter far off the "gate jump activation" area of 2500m are cursing and wishing they had their instas back. And not only them, but that's an extreme example to make a point.

It exactly warp to (0+up to 3km). And it's a game design, not a bug.

Quote:
59. All characters on same account share same settings, including window positions, market quickbar, and overview. BAD ! Again, you're forced to use separate EVE installs if you want different settings (even if you CAN'T LOG IN MORE THAN ONE OF THE CHARS). Alternatively, you can use LUA:OFF for one and "normal" for the other, but you have 3 slots, not just two.

Good for me so far. It right because it expected to have one person (not many) using one account, with same preferences.

62. New LP-shop implants STILL not listed in market (only visible in contracts now, in Rev 2.01)

Sorry for self-quoting.
I mean - any warp, even instas, place You around expected point. (even if You use mission bookmarks - Deadly Arrival as example)

So no point to use instas - they works as designed.

So how do you explain people arriving at over 6km from target then, if "max randomness" was supposed to be around 3km ?

As for vista-related thingies... that has had entire threads dedicated only to that. Still a bad design choice.
Also, #3 and #4 were reported by a small number of people, couldn't duplicate the problem myself either.

If You cane out of warp 3km behind destination and have enough fast ship, You'll continue to fly in direction of warp and can land far away than intended 3km. It 2-3 times happened to me in Ares, but never happened in bigger/slower ships, like barge or hauler.

Bad realization, but good design choice.

#4 I can confirm myself, have that issue and now it fixed for me.
#3 never happened for me so far. (journal and wallet always keep it's size and place through number of restarts).

However, that happends to some in barges, haulers (or worse, freighters).
Not several km beyond the point... but 6km BEFORE the desired point.
Meaning you still have 3.5+km to go towards a gate to be able to jump through (activation range being 2500m).
And you can guess how fast that is in a freigher.

No offense to CCP but it appears that there is a lack of communication between departments. Why do I say this? Because there are thing's brought out in the dev forum that takes a major thread in general in order to get it fixed.

This is how it appears to me, whether it is actually true or not.

That said, CCP knows that we wouldn't post if we didn't care about what was going on and I hope they continue to look at it like that.

How wonderful would it be, if some of the major bugs posted in this section were actually tackled and fixed in a patch instead of taking 4-6 months to fix as has been the case in the past with other bugs?

Anyways, bumpity for an important post.

Yeah, people like to call it "the left hand having no clue what the right hand is doing syndrome".
It's becoming quite common as companies grow in size, yet don't "update" their practices and/or policies regarding information flow, sadly.

Anybody can confirm taking stuff out of POS hangars was fixed or not ?
Our corp doesn't operate any POSes, so I have no way of testing.

Major issue with drone interface. You click the down arrow where it says '0 of max 5 in space' and it goes transparent, and then tucks my gang or fleet window underneath the overview (behind it) like a double stack. alt tabbing doesn't reset it, nor does restating my client. Some bug reports said it was Vista issue, but I have xp.

I took a suggestion of renaming my char_ file, which in essence resets every setting you had (overview, colors, graphics) pretty much like a full wipe of EVE on your comp. That fixed it for a few days. Then broke. Unable to use any drones or manage fighters.

Some Devs need to be fired.
1st. At least 20 of those issues can be fixed without much work, but i expect them to be fixed in Rev 3 or further away

2nd. The whole sound engine needs to be deleted. As it is it does not worth the MBs on my HDD.

3rd.The game has lost focus. "Python 2.5 runtime" The new stuff.. For christ's sake, what eve needs is a NEW engine both server and client side. Before that happens, the Answere to the Poll "What did you like more in Rev 2" - "Performance improvements" will make me laugh. Thanks CCP that you cannot grasp what your client/player base needs.

You should fire some more ppl i think, like Marketing Managers etc etc

I think that's supposed to be the new engine (one DX9, the other D3D10 for Vista), as for when they will finally release it, I'd say soon(TM)...

Well, DX10 is supposedly "Vista only", but only because Microsoft says so as a "buy our crappy Vista" marketing stunt... quite the contrary, people all over the place already play "DX10 only" (read "Vista only") games on XP (for instance Halo 2 and Shadowrun) with less-than-official patches (proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that "DX10 is impossible to implement on XP" is a Microsoft LIE). The current DX9 client is already "Vista compatible", and that was one major whine reasons around.
Both clients will be for Vista (but supposedly also run on XP, and as soon as somebody finds a way to properly port DX10 to XP, if you have a DX10-capable video card, we'll be able to play DX10-EVE on XP too).

48. containers in corp hangars behaving eratically. Previous member with full access to hangar and no "container take" rights could take stuff from the containers and add things inside normally. Then, items added inside started to get auto-locked even if container is configured as "default unlocked". Then, items started to be inaccesible without the "container take" right. By the way, that also enables them to take THE WHOLE CONTAINER, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of that role. Great job !

add that any member is able to retrieve the 2 passwords you can set on contianers like the station warehouse.

my alt with only hanger take access and container take access was able to get both passwords.

I get:

Numbers: 2 - 19 - 20 - 21 - 39 - 44 - 45

The Drones one where they hang behind the ship, WTF!? Thats existed for months, ffs CCP FIX IT.

Missions where you warp into something, and then get stuck, I'v e gone down to 22% structure in a tanked apoc to get out, just as I hit help to get a petition to get my ship back, I warped.

General lag with only 5000 people in server, eh? WTF!? ShockedRolling Eyes

Sound, cuts out and then comes back in again, not synced with animations, explosions cutting out laser sounds... I've encountered all of these...

Come on CCP. Sod the new features, we have enough, SORT THE BUGS OUT! Not difficult FFS, Apple manages to do it with OSX and thats a bloody OS yet It hasn't crashed or done anything wrong in the last 4 years for me but a day can't go by with a bug in eve.

52. It is impossible to warp a gang to a (deadspace gate) mission bookmark. The error text "you don't have the required role of boss/fleet/wing/squadcommander" (or somesuch) appears, even if you DO have them (i.e. you are the boss of the fleet, and are squad commander of the only squad in it).

You can warp the gang to the mission if you are fleet commander when in a fleet.

for the rest, nice list. keep it up Cool.

*edit* one thing I just thought of that has been a minor annoyance for me with the new LP store. The fact that there are implants being offered that do not belong to the faction the corp is part of. Like Inherent implants(amarrian) being passed out by republic fleet(minmatar). It doesn't make sense from RP perspective (and prevents implant market trade between regions somewhat.)

Salvagers still dont have an effect, unlike the civilian salvagers.

Tractor beams shoot off in a random direction when first fired and then snap back to the correct location.
