I've Rebooted the Storm several times, and it has still given me an error everytime. i believe it was an Authentication Error. 202 or something similar.

That means that either your account number or your API key is entered incorrectly (most likely the API key, I copy/pasted my key from a file on my phone that I had copied there from my PC).

See EVE API error codes for a list of all of them.

Now that SDK is public for the Palm Pre, is there a version of this in the works for the Pre? Do want. Not to mention having the EVE Logo on my Pre = Winsauce.

Hi Jaabaa,

I have your program installed on a Nokia 6300 and it works for all characters except of one. I'm loading the char details and I can view the skills and the attributes. But when I try to look at the information screen or at the statistics, I get an error with the following details:

net.sf.evemsp.SkillPlannerMI... (the rest is not shown)

Null Pointer
java/lang/NullPointerException

Any idea what the reason could be?

Hey there, I installed EMSP to my new Nokia today and i also have NullpointerException error, but it doesn't do anything really. I still got chars training and everything. Just update it via characters and not accounts (characters -> char name -> update) and error will be gone (altho i have only 1 char so maybe that's that).

Thanks for trying to help, but that's what I do as well. In fact, I tried both ways.

I think I know the reason: There is no portrait of the character available, when I open

http://www.eveonline.com/character/skilltree.asp

I only get the white "!" on black background for this char.

And neither there is a char portrait available in EVEMon, hence not in EMSP. So I guess something is wrong with the char, which leads to unexpected errors in the program due to missing information coming from the API Key.

I have filed a petition about it, let's see if they can find out anything.

It might be possible yes, but i seriously doubt about that. Not having picture is minor issue imo, but truly never knows.

Installed it on Nokia 5800 music express

Runs, but i can't add my acco name, as it contains letters, but the phone lets me only write numbers in that field.

Do you mean the UserID? This is not your account name, it's the UserID as specified on the API Key page. You don't have to put in your account name anywhere.

Well, if proves something, it proves that EMSP isn't fishing for logon IDs.

Thanks Phyara Nexar for pointing this out before I could reply Very Happy

i just got this to work on my palm treo pro after about 30 minutes of figuring out the sprint version doesnt come preinstalled with java *shakes fist*

other than me scratching my head over the api keys (yes, every letter does need to be capitalized), the program is up and running

great work jaabaa. i am greatly impressed. keep up the good work ^_^

only slight problem; it doesnt seem to want to post to my calendar.. i have no idea how fluent you are with the sprint palm treo pro, but i have their stupid titan java thing, and for some reason i cant leave the skill trainer up in the background. but it tells me all my skillpoints and it lets me know roughly how much time is left on my skill (it doesnt autoupdate or countdown, maybe im just an idiot)

The only thing that I can think of here is that the Java implementation doesn't fully integrate with the phone's OS so you don't get the calendar option.

It's same for HTC and presumably any Windows Mobile device. You cannot use calendar from EMSP (meaning you would add appointment there).

No problem Cool

Do you have any idea about my issue I posted in http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=544226&page=25#727

The program still has problems with that char. I can send you my API-Key for testing, if you want me to.

If you have multiple characters, then I would suggest loading the account and if you get an NPE (NullPointerException), then trying to load the character skill profiles individually until I can locate this problem.

Phyara, if you wouldn't mind sending me your account ID and your limited key (I don't need your full key) for testing then it would be very much appreciated.

It always happens, when you least expect it...

Today after downtime the character with the problems received the rendered Portrait in

http://www.eveonline.com/character/skilltree.asp

After deleting the char in emsp and reloading it on the account page it now works. So I guess my assumption was right - a missing char portrait leads to this issue.

The good thing is: It's working now, which makes me happy. The bad thing is: I can't give you my API Key to track down this issue.

But if you still want to look for it, then you could use an API Key from someone who has just created a new char. A trial char would work as well... :)

Thanks anyway for your offered help and of course for this nice little program. :)

Ok. Love this program. I have a problem, since the patch was installed - eventually - I have been unable to update my character's training. I keep getting the following message - backsend database temporarily disabled. Is this just an effect of the patch and is there anything else I can do apart from wait for CCP to fix the database?

After a patch it is normal for the API server to be disabled until TQ stability has been confirmed.

Please wait and continue to enjoy EMSP Very Happy

I love this blackberry app and use it when I'm at the airport all the time. I love playing around with the logo you created as well, a great time waster for me.
A few requests that would make this perfect:

1) option to have the days:hours:minutes displayed instead of the date and time of the skill expiration in the scrolling text.

2) Also, it seems that the app only updates your total skill points on skill completion. So if I have set a long skill while travelling, I don't get to see that I have gain 100K more skillpoints. it just stays the same until the skill Im training is done.

3) Ability to have a "skill planner" feature added like Evemon, so I can play around with possible future skill paths. Just be nice to wait for a plane and get an answer to "how long till Golem" now? Or how long till Rorqual, etc.

These things would be awesome #3 I know is tough, but hey.

Back at the airport playing with the skillplanner. I noticed you can load your full access api code, what benefits does this bring? Are there any additonal features this unlocks? Thanks

Would just like to thank Jaabaa for the hard work and dedication of keeping this app current and running relatively smooth. For an individual project I have to admit you have fixed bugs, and helped people with questions and problems when many others would have just given up. This app is awesome and If I knew a way to advertise other than word of mouth and the occasion link to this thread I would. The iphone has Capsuleer Rolling Eyes. For everyone else we have this. A big THANKS, and keep up the awesome work.Very HappyCool

Theres a lot of BB information around this post.

It should work on your device but I don't have a BB, so I can only refer you to information provided by other BB users.

Good luck Smile

I'm not sure this has been asked before (25 pages is a lot to scan to see) but will this run on Windows Mobile? I currently own a HTC Fuze

Thanks,
