When I used it on a Palm Treo (granted it was a 750), I sent the API key through to the devcie as an email, then copy/pasted the data.

On a BB, you have to manaully enter the Limited API key as there is no Copy/Paste shortcut (not into EMSP anyway)!
But its stil the best app for the BB that there is!

Sorry Jaabaa, Love your app, been using it for about a year now on my old mda, but the J2ME program on the android market is now broken with your application for some reason. Sad
Either that or it just doesnt like me... (probably the later!)

Hello Jaabaa,

million thanx for eve mobile. however, i can't get it to work on my motorola W510. it loads well, but when i ask it to load my account details, i get the message "Unexpected result: java.io.IOException". could you please advise me what to do?
Thnx again!!
PS: EMSP ROCKS! Could you maybe create an emsp lite edition, where one can simply manually input the skill levels on a given training time/clock wakeup database? My point is to create an emsp that one could be able to run without the need of a WAP connection.

It works with most phones, if the new Android J2ME has an issue then maybe posting on their boards might provide a solution ?

A "Lite Edition" with manual editing of stuff really isn't on the cards atm.

But now that you can download the skills XML in the same format as you get online, then a file import could be an option, it all depends if this is only for you or if more people would benefit from transferring the file to their phone and then doing an import without having to do an online update.

Currently there is no file import option available.

Display of skills & layout perfect on the BOLD's display

edit: only one small problem : might be me,
When training is done, the EVEMSP says on the bottom banner COMPLETED in RED but does not update any more. Is there a special key to press ? Under ACCOUNT the CHR: Load is not highlighted anymore but User ID & Limited API are green.

Was me:

Main SKILL PLANNER menu > Characters > (Select the CHR:) > UPDATE (which is grey out)

if it has been updated in a min time period (I thinks).

Ok I've added all CHR: inc buddies in corp.

The display is great, but because I have 12 CHR: accounts listed in training,
they now move off the screen past the bottom of the scroller banner.

PROBLEMS:

There is no way to scroll the list up or down (in training)
The scrolling banner at the bottom overlaps the list of CHR: names
when the list has 4 or more CHR: in it.

still it's a great program. Smile

Correct, EMSP respects the cachedUntil field (part of the character information) before allowing you to query the server again.

I more than like it, this is the best I've see and on the Blackberry BOLD with it's half VGA 480x320 screen it is great.

As for the multiple accounts I added, I like to keep a track of my friends & they for me too.

I know the scroll might be a problem but a work around would be great:

If EMSP could have CHR TABS: added and when there is more than 3 a tab is added for CHR 4,5,6 and then a second tab for 7,8,9 etc.....

Access to the tabs could be via the NUMBER PAD (press 1 for the first 3 CHR:) press 2 for the second set of 3 CHR: etc. or some definable key on the keyboard like the back button, but with each key press advancing the tab of CHR's by one group and then back to the start.

anyway, what ever happens, this program is much appreciated.
and if I could send you some ISK in game as a donation I would.

Keep up the great work (I'll keep the ISK in reserver for you)
it's people like you that make life a little better for all.

best regards

I've done the installation via OTA. I've inputted the apis via copy/paste from a txt msg.

On clicking load i get the error after some activity of the ul/dl arrows:

Any thoughts?

Ok I did the OTA install etc setup the My API keys via cut & paste from txt file.
So that bit is 100% then you goto LOAD: The only error I get every time (but it does not effect the function on my BB Bold) is:

Unexpected result
java.lang.NullpointerException

I press the return button on the right side of the trackball and it returns to the

LOAD
User id
Limited API key
Full API key
delete

page,I use the defined back key (which is the track ball move left on the BB bold) and I can access all functions. my error is only a minor one and may be related to:

A variable that has not been assigned to an object. In effect some data has been downloaded from CCP via API and the java applet did not assign it, it was extra....

either way, the app works.

===========

As for your problem, the error seems to indicate that the XML/ HTML Class decoder does not understand something in the app.

This normally points to the version of Java you have on your phone.

Smartphone v4.6.0.162

Hi,

I always get that on my Blackberry unless I enter BPOTH the limited and FUll API key.
But once EMSP restarts it works just fine. Just click on Update.

I have a blackberry storm, and it installs fine, however it doesn't place it in a folder, so there is no way to run it after the inital install when it gives me the option to run.

Found out you have to do a soft reboot after then it shows up finally in the downloads folder (where I expected it to be). I only found it after I installed another app that required a soft reboot. Works good. Got some API error on loading, its a little touchy with the storm since its touch screen but all and all good product. Look forward to newer releases.

I recieve this message quite often and apparently the error involves your BB connections. Here's what I do and it works 100% of the time for my BB Curve 8330:

1. Select the "manage connections" icon.
2. Turn All Connections Off
3. Wait 10 or so seconds
4. Turn All Connections On

Restart EMSP and you should be able to load your characters Very Happy

I hope it helps.

I have installed the latest Version on my SonyEricson K750i but when i try to load the Character Data from Eve, i am getting an Java Exception "javax.microedition.ConnectionNotFoundException". I have entered all Accountdata(userid/accountname/api key). Anyone has an idea how to get it working? I have seen YouTube Videos from this Handy with your app so in general it should work i think.

Btw. Great work on this app :)

sweeeet!

I like the tool, however I encountered a problem on my nokia e61 (shouldn't be specific to just that phone tho)

I accidentally set "go back key" to joystick press, which happened to be the only key that worked on the program's buttons... So, I can't do anything :) Might be a good idea to disregard key binds to the standard 'ok' key.

reinstalling the problem got rid of the settings of course, but I think it's a pretty good idea to have clicketyclicketyclick protection for the keybindings.

Well i just got a Sony Ericsson X1 XPERIA and downloaded the wrong version of this program to look at... didnt work :)

FINNALY read a bit more and got the right version, 3.4.4 and i am very impressed. Works well for the most part.

i did however get 3 permission requests that were very unclear, just an unknown_4657 on a white screen and yes/no option. clicked yes through it 3 times. when trying to add to calander, checked the calander and it had placed the alarm on tho so it does work.

The X1 has a very large screen, can i suggest some form of zoom? or bigger font? (obviously as an option not a change) it can confuse the information by being so small and also forces me to use the stylus instead of thumbing through it.

Regardless of these a very well done on a simple, small and fast app. Will certainly reduce productivity at work.
