I was recently mining, and saw a locked capsule. I was intrigued, and after doing a little research, I found that it was related to Anchoring. The skill description didn't help, though, and I couldn't find out from anyone I asked, so I've come here.

What does Anchoring do? Is it worth having for a miner, if it allows you to create those locked capsules so people can't steal your ore?

Anchoring is nothing more than a prerequisite for being able to anchor certain objects. To anchor giant secure containers, you only need level one in Anchoring.

They're alright, but they can only hold 3,900 m^3 of ore, and cannot be clustered together (must be at least 5km away from any other object), making it rather annoying to try to mine in them with anything bigger than a frigate. They are grand, however, for stashing loot and extra ammo in a system if you don't fancy running your industrial ship over twice a day.

Thanks for the quick reply. That's all I needed to know.
