Oh and the dev that responded in this thread is right, it's a piece of cake to add the switch, so a patch will be released in time, just trying to fix a few other bugs while I'm at it :).

Greetings,
Grismar.

Okay, whats the scoop on the loyalty point store? Will it be an imbedded interaction with each individual agent or am I going to have to travel across the galaxy to get to a specific Corporation/Faction store?

FYI -

The wallet export on MyEVE functionality is not being pushed until two days after Revelations II. That means this is scheduled for Thursday the 21st.

This gives us a day between the two so we can be certain that any problems with either are identified quickly and without confusion about what's causing what.

(I'll see about getting this information placed more prominently, but as the decision was just made, I wanted to get it out here...)

Well that helps, I get 2 more days to scramble and write code! I like this patch.

the changes to gang mechanics sounds promising. if I am reading it correctly, it will allow Real fleet commanders and wing commanders (people who know tactics and people-handling) to delegate the gang-boosting position to someone who has skill in Those areas.

removing dumb forced workarounds like having placeholder alts in boosting positions and conducting all commands and target calls through oog means.

full of joy that I might be able to use my Logistics skills (which gangboosting and its modules should be called) without putting other people at the mercy of my FC skills (because they are a deathtrap).

btw: wow at the release date. was expecting late/end july at the Soonest

Firstly well done to CCP for the forthcoming release.

However I am concerned that in the earlier discussions CCP stated they would adding the abilitlity to train 2 skills at once as well as priortising and stacking learning skills. Has this development been put on hold or dropped.

Here's a screenshot of the interface (doesn't have any actual offers in it): screenshot

Prolly already been said I haven't read all this thread but I will try to catch it up.

IMHO first off the good stuff, I think most of the changes you are making are awesome and a step in the right direction. The bad stuff is simply, I don't think enough has been done to negate the effect super-capitals have on the battlefield, and if you think giving ms more toys to play with are going to see the death of fleet engagements, your sorely mistaken. What you've just done is simply move pvp into the hands of the isk rich and further from the grasp of the isk not so rich. The fleet engagements you will see now, will simply be capital and super-capital blobbing. Hell your already seeing it.

On the whole but alot of positive changes made.

In case you've forgotten CCP, there are OTHER factions in the game! Why are all the faction improvements always Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar?

What about use half-breads that live in Ammatar? We are 1/2 Amarr and 1/2 Minmatar, and we get totally forgotten about. Crying or Very sad We have feelings too. We need some loving Exclamation

Why don't we get any more R&D agents? We only have 2 R&D agents and they are level 3 agent and belong to the one corporation in Ammatar space that nobody does missions for.

How are we ever going to get our own faction ships if we don't have decent R&D agents?

DON'T LEAVE US AGAIN DADDYExclamation WE'LL BE GOOD THIS TIMEExclamation

Growing Interest in the field of Mechanical Engineering Research has lead to more agents within the Amarr, Caldari and Gallente factions beginning research into this highly demanded area alongside their current projects.

The job time of all tech 1 crystal, hybrid, projectile ammo, missiles and drones blueprints have been updated and balanced to provide consistent run times between the different types of S&I job for these items.

Currently 100,000 rounds of any ammo on a PE 0 BPO takes 1 day 2 hours and 20 minutes, on SiSi it now takes 2 days 18 hours and 40 minutes.
This is over twice as long. How is this balencing? surely it is just slowing down the whole production system?

What about the standard icon and data exports (typeInfo, attributes, etc.)? When can we expect them? I mean, other than the fact we have been told to expect them "soon" since December...

Lot of messages, and don't have much time to look through all of them right now. I'll look later..

For Vista -- Any chance we can break away from DirectX's directsound and switch to OpenAL? The problem with DirectSound, is that it no longer supports hardware acceleration, and I'm having to use Creative's ALchemy to port the DirectSound to the OpenAL state (which thankfully gets rid of most of the pops and clicks and restores EAX capability..)

What I still don't understand, is how CCP classifies a "Light Year" in EVE. Since the entire EVE "galaxy" end to end, doesn't have enough AU to even be 1 Light Year.

One thing I'd like to know:

What happens to people who have already trained Starbase Tactical Officer? That skill is not present on Singularity. So do you simply delete it from TQ characters or will it be simply replaced by Starbase Defense Management? By the latter the requirement of Anchoring V could be bypassed and what with people who have trained it to, say, level 4 or something?

Thanks.

Something else, that just came up my mind:
Quote:
Logging out inside a starbase forcefield will now not activate an emergency warp, provided that you have rights to stay inside the forcefield.

1. What happens if your aggression timer is active and
2. Does the ship disappear immediately or after a certain delay?

If emergency warp is stil triggered with an active aggression timer, is it visible in 0.0 the same way as anywhere in empire?

Great-looking patch! A few replies to some...

On another note, though I realize you have many things to do CCP, I note with displeasure the fact that you still haven't fixed the bugs relating to ECM bursts in that frequency modulation doesn't work and no caldari ship EW bonuses affect the module (other than the scorpion). You'd figure that this should be a fairly simple fix too.

"Clarified the description of Electronic Warfare skill to emphasize that ECM and ECM burst are different types of modules and thus are not in general affected by the same skills."

Totally unneccessary, MASSIVE nerfs for the ******* lose.

Yeah, a less than 15% nerf to cargo capacity is MASSIVE, totally destroying the use of carriers as transports. Too bad that's not what they're supposed to carry anyway.

Consider testing all this stuff for at least 2 more weeks before deploying, especially if the list of bugs on the known issues page has not been resolved completely.

Honeslty, as long as this patch doesn't have any really serious bugs, I'll take it ASAP bugs and all. It fixes (or at least improves) some things which are simply broken in the game right now (passive BC tanks) and I'll put up with some iconveniences for the better of the game. Also, I haven't encountered any serious bugs on Singularity so let's hope for the best. I know a lot of players have been testing stuff.

These ships already suffer from a complete lack of functionality (fit anything in your mids and lows but tank mods and you can't passive tank) and have a very limited ability to respond to situations - there are no boosters or reppers to get you out from under that short term burst of damage.

The reasons are actually pretty obvious. The Drake as it is absorbs tons of damage but doesn't do crap, it's a "turtle tank". For example, I was in a gang of four smallish ships trying to kill a Drake the other day. We couldn't kill him but he couldn't even kill an Assault Frig. Getting rid of this is a good thing.

Hope our amarr recons don't get too much of a nerf.

Not too much, though if the change is what I think it is you might have to mix nosferatus and neutralizers a bit more.

Originally by: violator2k5
drones i can understand but ammo. if im not mistaken theres probably at least 120 t2 bpos of each ammo type out in the eve populaces hands (not mine :( ) anyway profit in that will be almost non existant if not profitable at all.

Though ammo costs are so closely tied with mineral costs so that the negative ME will hurt invented BPCs.

Take a look at their data dump. All the coordinates you find are in meters.

The distance between objects in a system is "only a few" au. There is however an awefull lot of space between those systems.

for the changed paths: i have two clients running on the same machine. will this work with the new setting or are the two clients overwriting each others files? or is there/will there be an command line option to set a specific path? for example store setting for client 1 in c:\eve\1 and for client 2 in c:\eve\2 (not the game-dirs)... would be much easier to put that stuff on a ramdrive as well if would be able to do that

One thing I've started to notice about Eve's Data; is that CCP mak's it public once a large minority uses the data to gain the upper hand:

Data Export
Came about soon after sites like Eve-I started to pull information out of the client.

Market Export
After a few people managed to work out how to pull market prices out of machonet. The market 'correction' followed soon after.

Map Information
After one or two enterprising people managed to pull map data out for sovreignity and outpost information.

Not a criticism, just an observation. All this extra data is good, but it does seem that it's driven by people diving into Eve's data cache.
