Pretty much what the title says.
I'mm gonna load up a Geddon with SB's, fly to Jita (i've never been!) and blow the hell out of it.
Can anyone recommend best place or time to go for maximum damage? |

Bait people to approach your ship in local by having an alt give things away, presumably because he/she is leaving EVE. You approach the alt and when enough people are floating near the can, BOOM. The reason you use an alt to bait is so that you don't get shipscanned and called out in local  |

Theres an old thread that's classic on this somewhere (eve-search it) titled something like how to go from 0 to -7 in seconds or something like that. Load up with large SB's like you mentioned and announce your leaving the game and you're just giving away all your crap and people should come to planet whatebevr to plante whatever to get the stuff. start launching cans , wait to build up a nice crowd and sb the hell out of them.
Video it if you can....I'm dieing to see someone do this...

Unfortunetly Eris this is the "Suicidal" Mentality the current game has spawned. He'll probably have an alt standing by to pickup whatever loot is dropped so it's not a complete loss LOL. I'm not sure what the GM's could really do about it anyways. |

It's all in-game mechanics and as far as I know you can't detonate smartbombs right next to a station anyway. It'd be hypocrisy if the GM's did anything about it. If it happens enough, people will learn to not clog up Jita so much and then nobody will want to do it anymore. |

And, it is a "perfectly legit way to play the game" according to CCP -- nobody has ever been punished for Suicide ganking. Unless that policy is changing, I see no reason for anyone to "ask for GM permission" to go and kill a few dozen random people just because they can. And then get an insurance payout on the ship, risking practically nothing. Be sure to have a buddy on-hand to scoop up the loot, unless you really are just doing this to do it. |

I´m not going to say how and why the others did it, but if you make a habit out of it be prepared to receive a GM luvin´.

Why? If empire space is not safe space, then why would the GMs be involved at all? Pretty much, after you do this once, you're at -10 and destroyed by concord, so the way I see it, it should be fair game, for each time you decide to do it. |

So how do the GM's expect people to know this? Maybe if CCP actually took some effort to write anything down, as opposed to crawling the forums for a year just to find out this info. Espicially when its been told to the players otherwise that this is allowed hundreds and hundreds if not thousands of times over with every successfull suicide. Nevermind that the answer you get when asking the GMs will be completely different depending on which one you ask....just like it is with everything else. Nothing against you personnally, its just the horrible unprofessional and *lazy* lack of documentation really bugs me. |

its been done, i have video of it. and that -10 sec status really doesnt mean much when your doing this sort of thing. and yes the gms stepped in and put a stop to it. but the guy doing it got away with it for a few hours before they did |

The problem is that CCP doesn't take kindly to griefing newbies. And the penalties for that is pretty high. So if you hit a GM on a bad day or get unlucky and nail a lot a newbies you might not like the response. And lets face it this is border line griefing considering the target base and it serves no purpose if you target small ships. Now if you can prove you are turning a profit, well then you could state piracy. Funny how close those 2 are  |
