Hello there,

as often noticed by everyone, the client lags in many situations from a "short hang" to several seconds. Nearly any function which shows a new window or content in space causes the client to stop and wait until the whole content is showen on screen. I dont talk about server lags, just the drawing.

Examples where the client freezes until content is drawn:
- opening the market window
- opening assets and searching for large content
- opening wallet
- opening inventory a container
- arriving a gate, belt or mission
- callback drones into dronehangar
- changing a marketorder
- ...

Recieving data from server seems to work in the background, but the drawing functions dont. I know, depending on the engine caps, it might be hard work to multitask a GUI, but it would give a real smooth feeling to everything instead of stop and go at any interactions.

Are there any planings on this?


PS: No, it's not caused by my dump mashine - Pentium D 3Ghz, 2 GB Memory Dual Chan 800, SLI, SATA II raid stripeset ...

I concur with the above post. It isn't a "major" issue, but it is annoying. Video resolution seems to have an impact on the delay as well. Usually, I play games at 1600x1200 on my desktop, but when I dropped it down to 1280x1024 the interface seemed a bit more responsive.

Actually, it is a major issue. Stuttering like that is also what gets a lot of pilots podded and mission runners losing billion ISK kits. It's all the same problem. Previous standing thread on the problem, Decouple Client Interface from Network.
