Seing that someone made a theme for the nokia E series, i thought us lesser peeps should have something too..

so i quickly whipped up something, not perfect, but i think it works.

it supposedly works on these following phones

3230, 6260, 6600, 6620, 6630, 6670, 6680, 6681, 6682, 7610, N70, N72.

If any of those don't work, let me know.

just download, unzip and install

EDIT ; updated the file and made it much nicer. Changes alot of the icons

Linkage

and you can get a preview here

Nice!! Sometimes the onscreen menu choice text gets a wierd blue box over it but otherwise it's very good =) Especially since the exec and tristan happen to be my 2 fav ship designs Very Happy

Sorry to bother you once again but I checked the them during my lunch break and it does not work for the nokia 6288.

AFAIK the file needs to have a .jar extension to be allowed to install on the phone.

.jar and .sis files are what most nokia phones accept..

have you tested in on installing from your computer?

Mmm, looks nice.

I have a Sony Ericsson P990i (a real geeks phone) and can use the wallpaper, but themes for the UIQ3.0 interface are not sis or jar :(

Yes, both of them.

The first file says that my phone can't support that type of file (extension .sis).

The file you made for the 6288 isn't even recognized by the Nokia program as a valid file (extension .nth).

All the programs I've instaled on my phone have the .jar extension, thats why I've mentioned it.

interesting.. all the info i find on google, says that nokia 6288 uses .nth files for themes...

so are you 100000000% sure you have a 6288???

Unless Nokia lied to me when I bought the phone and then gave me a bogus PC Suite to wrongly identify it as a 6288, yes I'm pretty sure I have a 6288... Laughing

that's pretty funky.. when i go on google, search for themes for 6288, it gives me pure .nth files.. :)

open your phone.. remove the battery... it should say on a white sticker inside precisely which mobile you have... would be the first time i have heard of a mistaken phone though...

but it just seems damn weird...

EDIT : btw, have you updated your firmware for your phone? i know nokia has an update it seems...

Ok, you are correct, forgive my noobiness.

The themes for my phome are indeed .nth, its weird that Nokia PC Suit didn't recognize the file.

I had to manually put it into the themes folder on the phone. Only problem now is that when I try to change the theme it will let me preview it but says it can't open it because its damaged.

I'll try and update my phones firmware to see if it solves the problem.

Once again thank you very much for your work.

Still reads as damaged.

I don't wan't to give you any more trouble. What software did you use to make the file? Maybe I can change it myself and try and see whats wrong with it.

Ok, all I did was open the theme on the editor and resave it.

It now works on my 6288.

All credit for this goes to Linerra Tedora.

Enjoy.

works a treat on the w810i :)

nicely done :)

one suggestion: make the words at the bottom of the screen of the same lighter blue as they are somehow hard to read :)
